A detail guide to make progressing towards Cloud Architect role
With the cloud becoming popular, the solution architect role is becoming more prominent. There are many Software developers like me working in the Information Technology industry who aspire to become solution architects, and the solution architect handbook provide them guidance to kick off their career journey for the SA role. There are many knowledge gaps in the solution architect role, which demand a one-stop shop to gain a comprehensive insight into the SA role and architectural concepts. It helps you on learning the patterns and strategies to prepare you for a Solutions Architect role. It focuses not just on various cloud technology domains and technical concepts, but also on soft skills essential to becoming a successful Solutions Architect. Therefore, while other books and online courses help you to upskill in a particular domain with a focus on specific services or technologies, this book, on the other hand, helps you have a more fundamental understanding of the design principles & patterns that you can apply irrespective of a cloud provider.

Great content and easy to understand !!
I've gone through the part1 and part2 both ,and I must say that both are great writeups. My new favourite is this book, because it provides easy to understand example for "very complex" technologies , one of my favourite example is the flipping coin analogy for quantum computing , also to explain the problem at hand, author uses creative ways, like the number of combinations 15 people can sit on 15 chairs, and likewise. Also, this book touches most current and emerging technologies and the architecture thought process behind using them in your solution. I use these books as my go to place for architectural guidence and use them every week. Great work by both authors. Can't what to see what you comeup next with !!

This was a great book to read, and it really helped me solidify my understanding
This was a great book to read, and it really helped me solidify my understanding, on a lot of things I have done in some of the projects I have worked on.The book gave a great overview on a lot of different topics, and although it was very high level, I did learn a lot. I even suggested it to a colleague of mine, so we can discuss some of the chapters, and exchange ideas.Thank you so much for putting this together!

VERY INSIGHTFUL - A must read for anyone who wants to be a Solutions Architect!!
You can tell this book has been written with the intent to guide aspiring Solutions Architects, based on what the writers would have wanted to know in their early careers as Solutions Architects.Prior to reading this book, I had heard it was a fantastic read, I have to say it has surpassed my expectations.Being a student learning to be a Solutions Architect in a sea of resources, this is exactly what I've been looking for. This book has clear and structured key information which is not limited to valuable in-depth information on services, best practices, how they fit together, and how you would impliment each service with detailed use case scenarios but they have also delved into agile practices, team dynamic, the responsibilities of the members in the team and so much more.I definitely feel like I've taken a peek behind the curtain at the role and I am excited to start my career now I know what is expected of me and what to expect.I highly recommend reading this book and keeping it close for reference!!

Awesome book
The author's take you through all the stages, being in IT, there's so much to it than being just technical. The author's have done a great job detailing what is required of the modern day Solution's Architect. The first chapter introduces the role of a Solution's Architect within an organization and from there the stage is set, when it comes to what Solution's Architect needs to know and how to be an asset for an organization. You could be a generalists wanting to transition to a Solution's Architect, this is the right book for you, the book introduces you to all kinds of Architects within IT. There's a lot to consume and I will highly recommend this book to Senior Engineers and those who truly want to understand why a Solution's Architect is such a crucial role within any thriving organization. What is a good design for the cloud and why do we need it? What are the business needs and how do you scale? These are all questions you should be asking yourself while you go through this book. I highly recommend also reading chapter 3,7, 8 and 12.Whether you are a Network Engineer or Cloud Engineer, I highly recommend this book.

Well explained and comprehensive book
I really got a great deal out of reading this book in terms of putting all my AWS solutions architect knowledge into perspective. The authors do an excellent job of covering all of the relevant knowledge and explain the AWS services and how they work and interact with each other very well. You could not ask for a more comprehensive and complete work on this subject. It is both a valuable read and reference material for anyone wanting to up-skill their AWS solution architect knowledge and proficiency.Well planned and organised! Well done!

Approachable, comprehensive, and thorough
From the beginning, this book paints broad, understandable swaths of information that inform the reader about the nature of solution architecture and its nuances. As a practicing solutions architect, I found that this book has a wealth of information for those not only looking for adding brushstrokes of information to their own field of knowledge, but it also provides a considerable amount of detail on other fields such as machine learning and IoT.With easily relatable language, the picture created in this book is not only accessible but detailed, and the comprehensive explanation of various cross-sections of solutions architecture is a very powerful aspect that I cannot underscore enough, because there are nuances to this field that are often overlooked or lost by the casual practitioner. This book is holistic in its approach to the various methodologies for solutions architecture, and it makes a point to use multiple vectors to approach problems faced in the field. The author takes care to guide the reader through the journey of solution architecture, and I found this book insightful and not only worth the read, but worth a place on the bookshelf.

Mmmbof... texte généré par IA!
Texte vraisemblablement généré par AI! Mais correct pour avoir un idée globale du sujet.Exemple: pg 13 donne une liste de NFR. Pg 14 dit «however, there can be more NFR[...]

Good book on the first 1/2 and way too generic on the second 1/2 (for an AWS reader)
Good book specially on the foundations of Software Architecture chapters. But too high level on the later chapters specially on data, AI, security and DevOps. Another issue is that its (almost) completely focused on AWS and that compromises the overall handbook concept.

Good book
Good book but too much repetition. Could be much less pages
