Quality Park, 10 Ply String in Ball, Cotton, White, Medium, 475 Feet (46171)

I THOUGHT THE TWINE WOULD BE A LITTLE THICKER BUT IT SERVE IT'S PURPOSE. I USE IT TO TIE UP OLD MAGIZINES AND PAPER FOR RECYCLE. I JUST HAVE TO DOUBLE IT UP.

Good string. My only qualm is that it could have been braided a bit more tightly. I use the string for holding up stuff for about a week. If it were linger than a couple of months, I would be hesitant.

Some of these types of strings tend to get thicker and unravel when exposed to the elements but this one doesn't. It's tightly woven and strong.

Believe it or not I've looked long and hard for good 8- or 10-ply 100% cotton string in stores. I use it for a variety of purposes, but mainly I use this cotton string as the drive band for my spinning wheel. Yes, I spin yarn.This does the trick. Enough said.

Not that 475 feet isn't a lot, but honestly I was quite suprised by how small this ball of twine is. I did not measure it, but I have no reason to doubt that it is actually right around 475 feet so I have no real complaint there. I was sceptical buying this product because there were no reviews speaking to its outdoor qualities. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations for holding up some fairly heavy climbing rose stems. I say heavy because we are about 6 month later than we should have been tieing up the stems so they have grown long and have large rose bundles on them. This 10-ply string appears to hold true and after a couple months has not failed on any of the stems we have tied up.Pros:+Strong and durable outside+Lots of string in a little packageCons:noneOverall, five stars as I do not have a complaint about the item yet.

This ball of string is a little under 3 inches in diameter. The string is strong for it's size though.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this product because it's description did not fit the product that I had been using. That twine is alas all gone, and the local store where I bought it, has gone out of business. The new string looks, and feels puny, by comparison, but looks are deceiving, because this string does the intended job oh so well!! Bundling newspaper, catalogs, magazines, and right now 2012 calendars which arrive by the handful each and everyday in the mailbox. They all get separated, and bundled to be recycled, That's the ultimate reason for my purchase. Thanks as always to Amazon, and their employees' who make this all happen, so well, and so quickly too.

It does everything string should do. I bought it to replace the cord on a light fixture. I have plenty left over.

I expected a BALL of string not a miniture blob

String is one of those things you never think to buy, then one day realize you need it and don't have any. This was the case here, and since I got this, I've found lots more unexpected handy little uses for it. All around a useful household item, and this ball of cotton twine was perfect, soft but strong, clean and wound nicely on the ball for storage.

It's string what can I say?. I needed to tie up my roses and this string does the job. Not to thick or thin. The price could have been a couple bucks cheaper but it was still fair being I didn't have to go out to the store. I recommend the string and will get it again here on Amazon when needed

Would’ve given 5 stars, except it was a bit too expensive for my tastes. I use it to tie up my herbs in cheese-cloth before inserting the works into my special ‘Mama Nona’s Spaghetti Sauce’ : it’ll warm the balls of your toes!-Nona Betty

It arrived quickly. It is said to be good for parcels.. well I hope so it seems a bit soft but I've not used it yet.. time will tell.
