Easy application- low odor
Very smooth application. I applied two coats to my kitchen island top. It’s cloudy but dries clear. Waited 3 hours between coats.

Covers well as a sealer.
Gives a nice look when used as a sealer. Coats good. I also used it to coat inside of plastic ornaments and sprinkles glitter inside It worked great!

Best Sealer to Protect Your Project!
I am an avid chalk painter. I have done so many pieces, and although I love the look of a waxed finish, for pieces that are used often, wax is not really realistic. It will not hold up to watermarks, or just daily use. it is just not practical. . . but this will! I just recently purchased a new home, and it was a full gut job. I wanted my home to be different, as I wanted wood counters and a wood island. I didn't want stained wood counters, I wanted chalk painted white wood plank kitchen counters and a stained wood island. Kitchen counters obviously are going to be used and due to the fact they're white, I knew I had to protect them. I didn't want a kitchen I was afraid to use. Everyone thought I was crazy with my white wood counters, but I didn't care what they thought and I didn't listen. My contractor put the wood together for me, I painted them and then I poly'd them like a madwoman. When I poly, I use a round head brush. I probably did 6 coats per countertop. I did not sand in between each coat, but every other coat. For my island, I chose the satin minwax, and I used a lot more poly due to it being stained. When you use stain, it seeps into the wood. When you paint it is layered so it coats the wood. Anytime you use stain, you're going to require more sealer. I probably did 12 coats on the island. I wanted to make sure it was protected. We cook, water spills, spaghetti sauce, and grease splatters and it all just wipes up with a towel or a sponge. I prefer the water-based minwax because it gives off little to no odor. The most important thing to remember is, you do not want it to bubble so do NOT shake this. I always stir with a plastic disposable spoon and put on nice thin layers. Not too thin, but not too thick either. You will notice a milky white color as you're laying the poly on, but this will dry clear. The Matte or satin is my favorite, but it honestly depends on the project. Due to the fact they're kitchen counters, I will most likely repeat after a year, just put a few more coats to make sure they hold up. I have used many poly and sealers, but Minwax is by far the best and most durable!

Nice top coat
Works great as a top coat to protect your painted furniture. The matte clear one you can’t even see at all over your paint and it works great even with only one coat to protect it from scuffs etc.

Tiny can, big results
Makes a painted surface hard, smooth and durable. Easy to apply and goes a long way.

Expensive
Works fine. More expensive than going to Lowes.

So far, I'm impressed
I used this product for a vinyl cricut project for a water bottle (If you look very closely you can see the outline of this product around the vinyl). I was hesitant because I was worried it would look like mod podge. But it is practically invisible against my matte bottle!! The design has a lot of pointy edges that kept peeling, but so far, with two thin layers, it feels much more secure and sealed. I will update this review if things change but for now, I am definitely a fan.

Not as big as I thought.
This was what I needed. But I thought it should have been bigger for the price.
