Q: can it be use in 2x3 stud wall

It is 2 3/4" from the back of the enclosure to the back of the drywall flange. So the answer would no. You could flange it out if you had to make it work.

Q: what is the diameter of the bottom hole of the recessed box? 1.5” or 2” and is it threaded?

Both, 2&1.5”, 2” pipe slips over the connector and 1.5 slides inside of the connector of the box. No threads, it is for solvent connections.

Q: does this come WITH the air admittance valve as shown in the picture? is that for 1 1/2 drain vent, or 2"?

Mine came with everything shown; air admitance valve, mounting box, and the cover plate. Was a 2” kit as it was what I needed.
