The BEST Sorghum Syrup EVER!
One bite and I was back at my Grandma’s kitchen table. All these years, I thought she was serving black strap molasses but it turns out it was sorghum syrup. Thank you for making such a high quality product!

Good value, good flavor
Tastes great, complex and molasses-like. Using a jar for a substance so viscous isn't easy but I transferred it to an old squeeze bottle for honey I had. It tastes good on pancakes. Glad I could try sorghum syrup, very interesting flavor!

Fairly close to flavor purchased in KY Amish community.
I LOVE sorghum molasses and have eaten homemade Amish Kentucky Sorghum, purchased at a local Amish community. Nothing will compare to those batches of sorghum, but this comes close enough.

Excellent Sorghum Syrup - I use it for a gingerbread from a family recipe
My grandfather's sister used to make gingerbread using sorghum syrup instead of molasses. Oberholtzer's is apparently made in the same area of Kentucky that my family migrated from. I have bought several jars and the resulting gingerbread is great. It reminds me of visiting my grandfather's sister as a child, who made them on a regular basis for us. She was a real character. She smoked a pipe with Red Ox twist tobacco and kept a hatchet next to her chair in case of burglars, but she was very gentle and by that time could in no way defend herself against an intruder. There aren't many such individuals in NorthEast Indiana anyways.

Sorghum done right!
As a child growing up in the southern United States, sorghum molasses was a breakfast staple in our household. Poured over soft, steamy buttered biscuits, nothing compares to the comforting flavor of authentic, sweet and thick sorghum syrup. I hadn’t been able to locate any for many years and although it was quite expensive, I knew I had to take a chance when I saw this on Amazon. The Oberholtzer’s brand does it exactly right. It’s delicious and brought me back home for breakfast. This jar is pretty large and should last me a while, but we’ll see.
