Does exactly the job I purchased it for. Sands take an hour to funnel through. This is to make sure I do not sit too long reading or watching films. I absolutely did not want alarms going off every hour or to keep replacing batteries. I already have to hear an alarm for work in the wee hours of the morning I sure as heck am not listening to any more in the day. This was the perfect solution. Up every hour to move around and stretch the injured muscles. From day one results were realised.

Not the best quality sand stops falling and you have to give it a bit of a shake....quite expensive for how it turned out...

Unfortunately, this hourglass doesn’t serve its basic purpose. It is advertised as a 60-minute timer, but it runs for 67 minutes. I think over 10% inaccuracy is pretty bad. Perhaps the product should have a disclaimer to the effect that it is for display only and cannot be used as a timekeeping device.

My Telephone Tariff allows 60 minutes within Plan, after which it becomes expensive. This Timer indicates when I've reached 45 minutes & gives me time to conclude the Call.

The frame is pretty thin and would probably break with rough handling. We haven't had any issues with it and we use it several times a day (for baby bottles so we know when they have spoiled) lovely colour of sand - kind of burnt orangey terracotta colour.
