I bought 3 collars for 2 minpins and a large chihuahua. The First day was hard to watch as they got used to the warning and shock. It only took the one day and no more running to the fence and barking at the neighbors dog, no more barking if someone walked down the street, No more barking at just plain old nothing. The correction is mild but at first it looks like it hurts, it doesn't, I tried it, It feels like a 9volt battery touching your tongue. Remember doing that as a kid? lol Anyway, I love my little girls dearly but living with them is a lot easier now that they are quiet. It has been a week and I am totally satisfied. I actually have 6 dogs but it is the 3 that do most of the barking. I found that the other 3 are quiet now to, They are elderly so I didn't want to put the collar on them, I mean like 15 years old. Now they hear the audible warning and shut up to, I have left the collars on 24 hrs a day so there was no confusion for them. I Highly recommend this collar, I have tried ultrasonic devices and it just didn't work, this does. And I do not feel that it is mean, it is firm, it warns multiple times before a mild shock but it gets the message thru. I have some strong willed little girls.

This product worked amazingly for the first 1 1/2 weeks. But then one morning I put the collar on my dog after a very early morning walk so she didn't disturb my children. I heard the collar beep even though she didn't bark. I thought it was odd. Then it let out a very long beep (much longer than it ever has) and it began shocking my poor dog continually. She was yelping and crying and she hadn't even barked! My kids woke up. Her cried were agonizing and she was so scared she literally capped herself as she was being shocked. I don't know if mine was defective but just imagine if this was a time she was being crated and we left the house. I'm convinced it could have killed her.

We've had this for 5 days now, so far it works. Our dog is a very loud continuous barker who will do that for hours if she sees fit, but now she hasn't barked like that in days. She would bark occasionally but once she hears the beeping sound she will quiet down. Works well for us to cut down on unnecessary barking.***UPDATE***My dog responded well to the collar, she’s learned that when she barks (even though the collar isn’t on), she’ll stop barking once she’s told no. The only downside I’ve noticed is that if another dog in the same room barks really loud, the collar would pick it up and beeps which means it is picking up the other dog’s bark which would not work well if you have multiple dogs in the same room especially if the vibration goes off.

We have a German Shepherd puppy and a large fenced area approx. 2 acres which is surrounded by a fence which parallels our private road. She was about five months old when we got her from a rescue agency and was good about not barking for the first couple of months. She was very timid and afraid when we got her, but within a few months she became outgoing and less afraid. As a matter of fact, she found out how much fun it was to run along the fence and BARK BARK BARK at the cars when they went by. Of course it didn't help that some of the people going by let their dogs hang out the windows and BARK BARK BARK. We tried everything the trainers suggested: divert her attention to a toy, don't yell, it just encourages her because she thinks you're in trouble, tell her not to bark and give her a treat, etc. NOTHING worked. We were told to try a citronella no-bark collar, but talked to several people who said they don't work. We did not want a shock collar!!! We were so afraid she would get frightened and go back into her shell. HOWEVER, the barking was driving us nuts and we tried the Good Girl collar. This is no exaggeration, but two days after putting it on her, she didn't bark at anything that went by. At first she ignored the beeping and got a vibration (I prefer to call it that!) and it didn't seem to hurt her at all. She just gave a little yip and ran to us as if she was confused as to what had happened. She didn't associate it with us. After four days, she occasionally barked once or twice and when she heard the beeping, she stopped. After five days, she didn't bark when the cars went by but she ran along the fence. After one week, she doesn't even bother to go down to the fence for her chase and bark craziness. This has been a long review, but I want to tell you how easy and fast and humane and effective this collar has been. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

When I first got this product it worked well. I was excited to finally have something that might help teach my dog to stop barking, however things quickly changed. The batteries died within a couple days so I put in the other set of batteries. The collar immediately stopped working properly. It would go off when the collar wasn't even on my dog, and would beep at random times of the day. We kept using it in hopes that the beeping would help prevent barking, however the second set of batteries stopped working within a day. We went to buy new ones hoping those would help, but the collar just kept getting worse. Now it doesn't even administer a shock after the three beeps and will beep whenever it feels like it instead of when my dog barks. It was the biggest waste of money ever!

The product works fine. My dog responded as expected but the batteries are hard to find they only give you to two and they don't last long.

Finally after purchasing two other companies collars I found one that works on my third try. The first two the bark had to be very loud for them to work, not with this one. It's only been on my dog for less than two hours, so far it's working great. My dog is seeing how low can she bark without activating the collar again, it doesn't pick up every bark. It's good that it allows the dog some freedom lower level barking. The only reason I'm rating it only 4 stars is due to it not picking up every bark, I would've like that option. I would purchase this collar again.
