Works well most of the time but will crack occasionally.

A passable, ever so slightly more eco-friendly alternative to actual plastic. But beware packaging that touts biodegradablity as even PLA requires proper disposal in a specific type of composting facility to truly breakdown....whole each little step like this is worth it, reducing ALL forms of plastic consumption and leaning on governments and corporations to change policies are the real way to affect change. Yes I'm aware of the irony of posting this from a plastic phone/computer/etc.

These are pretty affordable and work well. Only major issue is that they completely melt if the drink is not cold. Other straws will stand up to a little heat. These will not.

Decent value as I got them from Amazon warehouse at a highly discounted price. That being said, full priced is a not an option. They become soft or limp and cannot stir a warm driñk. They become frigid and brittle when inserted into a cold drink. Bending, bitting, or even stirring will result in a broken "unsuckable" piece of compostable trash.So sip and suck with caution, for these straws, are less then awesome.

I work in a town where straws were recently banned, leaving us with these HORRIBLE paper/cardboard straws that don't last the length of an iced coffee. I LOVE these straws for 2 reasons, 1, they last my whole coffee & 2, I don't feel bad when I toss them in the garbage. I even throw them into my fire pit. Great decision, I could have spend a little more for the individually wrapped ones.. but I just keep a ziploc with a handful on me at all times. My coworkers also appreciate them

These straws are adequate. If you have kids that would squish or bite you don’t want these. They break/crack easily. (Not likely a safety hazard, you’ll just use more straws). I will go back to the more expensive compostable straw we had been using. If you need cheap and in bulk - I would definitely use these for that purpose. They do work with normal use just not as durable as other brands.

These are great straws. We have to use straws in my household for various reasons, but want to cut down on our plastic consumption. These straws feel and work just like plastic straws, but are biodegradable, so we don’t feel guilty about using still using straws. They are not for hot drinks. They will melt/soften in any drink warmer than lukewarm. I have passed out these straws at work and no one can tell the difference between these great straws and a traditional plastic straw. I will definitely be buying more!

I bought them because they are compostable. I’ve ordered similar straws before, not Amazon basics. First, I failed to notice these are not bendable straws. But that’s ok, I can work with these, but they are very fragile and split easily and then pinch your tongue. So for some drinks I have to use multiple straws thereby defeating the conservation purpose.

I have used the same straw in my water glass for several days and it is still in good condition, I think this demonstrates how good the quality of these straws. You can rinse them out and keep using them, thus using less. It is nice to know that these will break down when I have to toss it out. They cost less than other straws so I can recommend them to anyone looking for an ecologically friendly product that can stand up to some hard use.

Great straws, don’t notice a difference at all from the old school plastics ones except that these don’ crack as easily, so it’s a win win
