Work as advertised.
As I walk I scuff both outside heels. These allowed me to get longer usage out of my work boots, saving me money.

Plates are pretty good, but screw heads wear out and plates eventually fall off.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Decent plates for the heels of my boots, butone plate feel off on day 18, the heads of thescrews grind off, then the plates will come off. I don't know if there is a glue that will work. They should include a 100 pack of extra screws,or at least a link for replacements. I don't see how they could re design the product.A thicker plate would be able to protect the screw heads, but I don't know if I want thickerplates on my heels, but it might be worth a try. RECOMMENDATIONS; 1, My boots were worn slightly onthe bottom of heels, so if yours are worn, be sure to bend the ends just a tiny bit to conform to the radius ofthe worn edges, I was able to do thiswith two pairs of pliers, the materialis fairly soft. 2. In my case when the headswore down and plate fell off, the remainder of the screws were visible and could be twisted slightlyout with my micro angled snips, then I was ableto get my forceps on them and easily spin themout a bit, then put plate back over broken screwsand finish backing out one at a time and replacingit with a new screw so i'd be sure to use thesame holes..... hope this makes sense when yoursneed replacing. I'm not knocking this down to 1 star in hopes thatthe seller will link me to replacement screws, and or the exact Glue that will work, not just a reply with some bs like; ''use an epoxy'' I want/needto know which glue 'exactly' will definitely work. ----Amazon should give us a larger window forwriting our reviews, it is tedious to scroll up and down while writing and editing our comments, making it easy to miss mistakes.

Screws are terribly weak
Screws are terribly weak, especially those heads. So I decided to break the every head in purpose, now waiting for an epoxy glue being delivered. I regret for buying this...

Poor quality material, don't buy
I bought these hoping they would extend the life of some expensive walking shoes. They lasted less than a week -- after 15 miles of walking, the metal was ground down so much that the nail heads couldn't hold the plate anymore. While that might suggest a problem with the nails specifically, the metal plates were in pretty bad shape considering they were new. I'd have expected METAL to last a good 50 miles of walking before falling apart! I am guessing these were just imagined to be for tap-dance purposes, and no durability was considered in the choice of such soft material.

Mine came with screws.. It should have nails.
The metal seems okay, I haven't had them long enough to tell but it seems quality. But it comes with screws instead of nails and I'm super bummed out about it. I can just imagine trying to get the screws out after the heads wear down to nothing.

Decent product, needs larger size option
Good product, but measure your heel before buying. This doesn't cover the entire heel arc on my size 13 boots.I was asked what type of metal - looks like basic zinc, like the cheaper flat washers from the hardware store.Image shows one I removed after several wears. They seem to hold up all right. I was also asked if they make noise. Sure - flat metal clack.

Weak screws
The screws that came with it were weak and either striped the heads out or completely broke off in the shoe even with pre-drilling the holes. The plates themselves were ok. Nothing special. They didn't take long before the were showing a lot of wear and even bending.
