Fascination Coral Reef [Blu-ray]

I decided to check out 3D videos once again on my Vizio 3D television using my Sony 3D Blu-ray player. The Fascination Coral Reef Series adds realism to the viewing.

This is a boxed 3 Blu-ray set. First one Fascination Coral Reef had some pixel and quality issues. Other 2 turned out to be decent quality. It is not the BBC or Cousteau quality but still underwater quality is quite good There are lots of new things you will see here. All are shot in Maldives, Indian Ocean. That itself will make it interesting. For the price, 3 Blu-ray DVDs are a bargain. There are some funny English translation from the original German.

3D version is incredible! I have a fair amount of 3D movies, this is one of my favorites... I felt like I could ride the sea turtle through my living room.

This 3D move "Fascination Coral Reef 3D" is the worse underwater movie I've ever seen. It looked as though the videographer had never used the camera before let alone photographed underwater scenes. Some scenes were over exposed and others made you wonder what exactly he was trying to capture in the frame. The colors of the coral were almost non-existent and it looked as though it was recorded on a cloudy day since the blue tint of the water and all the creatures were very bland. The soundtrack was curious as it sounded as if 2 separate tracks were on top of one another and the notes did no compliment each other at all. It was torture listening to it. There was numerous amounts of 3D 'ghosting' so much in fact it made it difficult to watch. I have a large library of 3D movies and this by far is the only one that I had a difficult time watching to the end. It was so poorly made and produced that I would think the people that made it would be embarrassed to show it to anyone. I don't recommend this movie since there are plenty of high quality movies on the oceans, it's coral reefs and the incredible creatures that call the ocean their home.
