Good quality set of launching wheels from a trustworthy source
These wheels are great. They let me launch at the fishing ramp and they extend my cruising landing sites by allowing me to easily move my dinghy high onto the shore safely away from a rising tide that might otherwise take the dinghy. It took a bit of work to make these wheels my perfect setup, but it was worth it. I'm not going to knock off a star for having to be creative with installation because you're going to have to be smart about any launch setup that you buy.Installation: This required some work on my Achilles LSI-330e because of all the placards on the inside of my transom that I didn't want to move or drill through. My solution was to prepare King Starboard mounts. This allowed me to move the top through bolts higher and added strength. Plus, the mounts just look better this way!Note: Be sure to mount the wheels with the air valves facing inward. Otherwise the valves will knock against the cotter pins that hold the wheels onto the launch arms.Use: The launch wheels store easily and attaching them to the dinghy simply requires putting them into the mounting slots and putting in the detent pins. The detent pins are not captive. So, I'm probably going to make some lanyards to keep them attached to the boat or just buy some spares. After you've launched the boat, it does take some effort to push the wheels down before flipping them up. This is because the wheels float, which I see as a huge advantage for these launch wheels compared to any solid wheel setup. Inflatable wheels are the safest way to go here!Transducer Compatibility: The tubing for these launch wheels is 1.25" square tubing. So, if you want to run a transducer, it's easy to rig up a 1" square tube that fits inside the launch wheel arms when the wheels are up. Just drill a hole in the 1" square tube that uses the detent pin!

Significant design issues
This is a solid set of wheels, but the product's utility is compromised by two significant design failures. The first issue is that the detent pin (which holds the wheel assembly to the transom mount, does not come with anything to attach it either to the wheel assembly or to the boat. Drop the pin, and you are literally up the creek without a wheel. The obvious solution is a 6" stainless steel tether -- but that should have come with the kit rather than me having to find and buy one.The second issue is a much bigger deal. With the wheels are in the down position, they are held to the boat by the weight of the boat itself: there is a projection on the side of the wheel arm which engages with an inverted "U" shape on the trnsom bracket. This may work fine on new asphalt, but if you are pulling a dinghy over an uneven surface, the moment either wheel hits a depression, it drops and disengages from the bracket -- which, of course, drops the boat itself on the ground. This could and should have been addressed in the design and manufacturing processes, and I am still trying to figure out a decent after-market fix.

A MUST-HAVE for Zodiacs!
What a life-saver these 2 wheels have been for my zodiac (inflatable boat). Makes moving it around by yourself really easy, except in sand (winds up needing to be dragged). I took 1 star off because the screw bolts provided stripped when I was trying to install. One even sheared off! My advice is to get equivalent hex heads or socket heads that give you better grab/torque. But once installed, these wheels are awesome!
