Great little heater/fireplace
Package arrived in perfect condition. It had fragile stickers all over it. Packed box in box. Heater is in perfect shape. Now the difficult part. There is film covering all the stainless steel that needs to be removed. Many of the screws need to be loosened to do that. I haven’t installed this heater yet but I’m very happy with it.

Super cozy
The media could not be loaded. This heater is very effective. It quickly raises the temperature in the cabin, even on low. It’s almost too warm for background ambiance. I sort of wish it could be turned down even lower. I really like the look of the fireplace. It’s very nice to look at.My one big complaint is less about the heater and more about the packaging choices. The plastic film covering everything was the least satisfying peel ever. It’s hard to remove and has a tendency to shred. The heater was assembled after the film was installed so I had to literally remove every screw 1 by 1 to get all the plastic film off. It took longer to peel the protective covering than to actually install.Overall I highly recommend this heater.

Better sit close to get warm
Live on a 32' sailboat with my toddler and within 2' of the heater with the fire and fan on high, it's warm but not warm enough to get me to take off my jacket. 5' away or off to one side, couldn't even tell it was on. No returns accepted unless in new condition. Didn't know it wasn't good enough until I tried it and now I'm out over $1100 :-(

Not powerful enough for a yurt
Wasn’t quite strong enough to keep a 20 foot yurt warm in southern Oregon. Looked great though.

I love it!
The media could not be loaded. Like fireplace in my camper cab over bedroom, quiet operation and off grid capability. A great emergency heater also. I no longer use my furnace. Dislike that there is no igniter. Dislike having to remove screws in order to remove the protective plastic. Love the plastic protection for shipping.

Expensive, yeah. Fuel efficient, oh yeah!!
Installed in my 38' motor home just in time for winter and very happy with performance and fuel consumption!! My coach is used just about every single weekend during the winter months to sleep in, as I have it stored on my sister's property and my mother lives there. Like to visit family a lot. Before installing this little gem, I used to just use the coach's LP furnace. Well, with no zone heating, it was not long before the 25 gallon LP tank was empty and I HATE the idea of having to stow everything in the coach for a road trip to the LP refill service station.....HATED IT!No more. I installed the Dickenson heater in the back bedroom where I sleep and just slide the door from the middle bathroom to the front of the coach closed and it's not long before I have a warm bedroom and bathroom. Perfect!!The fuel consumption is super low. Using a standard 20lb BBQ LP tank, I get at least 10 10-12 hour evenings of great heat before needing a refill. This is in about 35-40 degree weather. I'm sure this will be reduced by lower temps, as I will turn on the heat a couple hours before sleep time. The furnace does a great job with this small space. I do recommend wiring the fan up. It does help a lot and it's really not that loud, even on high.Pricey furnace, yes. Pretty furnace...YES. Worth what I paid, you bet. I'm thinking about a second one for the front area to really make the coach power independent. The hardest part of the installation was drilling a three in hole in the side of my beautiful coach....measure ten time, cut once...:)

GOOD, COULD BE BETTER.
Be aware that unless things have changed, the burner on the P12000 is exactly the same size as the one on the P9000. IMO, and I have owned both, the P12000 produces little, if any, additional heat over the P9000. The P12000 should have a larger burner. Larger burner, more heat potential. Personally, I wouldn't again pay the extra $ for the P12000.
