I am really impressed with this item. It arrived well packaged, and is a weighty piece of equipment. It is sturdy and does the job required. I did place foil under it to catch the juices. It cleaned well and would buy this again.

This is just brilliant with the only downside being that I didn't get one sooner. Solid build quality, cleans up well, and makes really nice chicken shawarma amongst other things, either on the BBQ or in the oven. Slice your chicken, flatten it a little and marinate it in your favourite herbs and spices, garlic, some lemon juice and a splash of oil. Then just stack them on the spike in as even a pile as you can manage, slap it in the oven and baste now and again. Just use an instant read thermometer to make sure the chicken is cooked through. It even comes with 2 different length spikes (I use the shorter one on my kettle BBQ. Slice and enjoy, it will last forever so worth every penny!

I bought a very cheap kebab stand like this to make kelly kebabs on my kamado bbq (louisiana grills 24) and i was not impressed, the build quality was terrible and it was ruined after 3 uses. So hence me looking for a more solid replacement, this was a bit more expensive than others but you get what you pay for, this is made from very thick metal and is very well made, the two spikes are great and the hole is welded perfectly central and straight (the previous cheap one i had was neither). The smaller spike comfortably held 2 kg of chicken thighs and when sat on my skillet (to catch the meat juice) was perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone it is very well made and i can see it lasting many years. perfect for any kebabs you may want to cook and i will also be chucking a couple of halfed onions and lemons on it this week then chucking a chicken on it via its cavity. If you are unsure on this because of the price don't be it's fantastic! I struggled with wooden skewers for ages when making kebabs or gyros. This is very sturdy and very well made. The bolt is very well welded in the base. The fact that there are two size skewers really helps.

I don't usually write reviews, this however definitely deserves one! After looking at all other cheaper options I decided on this, I liked the way it was put together and high grade Stainless steel. When I received it I was instantly impressed by the weight and gauge of the steel, having two different length skewers is also great. On the first use I can say I'm extremely impressed with it, the whole family loved the chicken Schwarmer!

Outstanding bit of kit.... This was a step up from our first three or four home-made kebabs that used potatoes and kebab sticks to cook. It's really tall, which is awesome - providing it fits (you may want to measure the oven space). I havn't measure how many chicken thigh fillets you can get on it but it's a lot. The heavy square base fits nicely into some little pans we have so we can use the juice that cooks out to put back onto the meat. It also means that you have a strong base from which to carve off the meat once cooked. The skewer removes from the base very easily for cleaning and storage. As its stainless steel both can be left to soak - which you will almost certainly need to do once you've used it. Initially I felt it was expensive, but now, having used it tons, I think its great value for money and I see it lasting a very long time indeed.

Massiver Spieß, besser als ich dachte. Zwei Spieße sind dabei. Der kürzere von beiden passt genau in den Backofen für den selbst gemachten Dönerspieß.
