Bedroom booster
Because of a long run to our master bedroom and one other bedroom we installed two of these boosters to increase the airflow for both heat and air conditioning. They both did their jobs very well. After several years a fan blade broke and was not repairable. The down side is that you can’t buy a replacement fan blade which could easily be replaced so I purchased this new unit. It fit into the old mounting bracket so installation was very easy. This unit is plugged into a receptacle wired to the furnace/air conditioner system through a switch which if switched on will start and stop with the heat/ac system.

Works very well!
I purchased this exhaust fan for removing smoke and smell from lasering wood projects. Quiet running and always cool to the touch. Being able to take the fan/motor assembly out of the mounting bracket for cleaning is a huge plus. Vacates all smoke and fumes from my home made enclosure completely. Will absolutely recommend!

Great Quality QUIET Inline fans.
I bought 2 of the 6 inch exhaust fans for remodeling of bathrooms. They are working AMAZING. They don't come wired but I had NO issues wiring it to a wall switch. I used 6 inch insulated ducting with 6 inch duct collars. Which also were easy to attach since you can remove the body VERY easily. By using the insulated ducting I cut down on some noise. I attached to 2x4's using wood screws and the fans don't rattle or clunk around. They are so quiet when on that while doing a walk thru with my real estate agent, she asked if they were even on.overall VERY quality inline fan.

Motor Bearings Failed
Just like a previous post in the reviews, my 6 inch fan began vibrating my whole ceiling after just hour of use.I contacted customer service about 3 weeks ago and still have not heard from them. The fan was extremely quiet when bearings didn't cease and begin vibrating. After a half day of wiring a 2 speed switch and modifying my kitchen hood exhaust. I had to return this item with no replacement in stock on Amazon. What a waste of time.

Great fan
This fan is advertised to be quiet, however you have to consider the amount of air that is moving with a 6'' vent. 312cfm is substantial, to move this effectively it won't be silent. If you consider the amount of noise a 65-100 cfm fan mounted in a standard bathroom vent light combo makes this fan is much quieter. I have mine mounted in the attic it is approximately 6 ft from the vent opening in the ceiling and 12 from the exterior wall that it vents out of. There is very little to no noise of the fan running, however you can hear the air being sucked through the vent in the bathroom. The whole point of this fan is remove moist, smokey, or settled air from a room. This is an industrial fan as the description clearly states it is for grow rooms, green houses, etc... If you want a quiet fan that makes no noise then you will also get no air movement. I have had this fan installed for over 18 months and no issues, no excessive noise, no humming, no rattles. I however do not have the controller wired in as I have it wired to run full speed when it is powered on. As far as not having a plug pre wired, show me any vent fan that has a pre wired plug. This is not a box fan you set in your living room, or a circulating fan to put on your dresser when it's hot outside. This is a inline duct fan that is meant for green houses, grow rooms, etc... I have had good luck with the fan and will be ordering 2 more of them to vent a kitchen/dining area.

These fans are really nice. the pull the paint right off the walls
These fans are really nice. the pull the paint right off the walls, and they clear the humidity out like there was none in the first place. They're made of high strength plastic, which I was concerned that they would be inferior in durability, BUT, I was pleasantly surprised that the level of the product is superb and rust and corrosion will never be an issue. We purchased and installed 2 of these units in the Master and guest bathrooms. and we are absolutely pleased with the performance and the ease of of installation... I would recommend

Not too impressed, but will see how long it lasts.
I would just like to note that I am using this fan simply as is with few modifications. It has not been professionally installed within the walls, just used as is, 5" diameter semi rigid ducts connected to both ends to not only give me the ability to place the fan away from my window in a more desired location, but also to dampen the sound.I bought this fan specifically because it had a low ADVERTISED noise rating as compared to its competition. Most of the other competitors list significantly higher noise level with a generally higher cfm per size. This place advertised it as 26/31 whereas other places are around 45~. I thought "wow that's significant!" I have a Rabbit Air 700A air purifier and around medium speed, it produces around the same sound level as this fan is advertised to produce, which should be great. However, this is not so. It's quite noisy. Actually, one can say it's predictably noisy. I'm not going to go out to buy a meter that measures db. The maximum dB for my rabbit air model is 45 dB on turbo (maximum speed) moving 187 cfm. This fan is about that noise level, maybe even a tad louder. You can definitely hear it, thankfully I don't run it 24/7. I just have it on a timer that I got separately that turns it on every 2 hours and off after 30 minutes or an hour. I can clearly hear it with earplugs on while trying to take naps. Now the only thing that might still make this unit worthwhile is how long it lasts, that we'll have to see in the long run. Some other stuff that I don't like too much is that, for the money, it didn't come wired with a plug or have one in the box which I can quickly use should I want to. I had to hunt around the house and eventually cut up an extension cord to use rewire it. It also lists two speeds but doesn't come with any controls. Another thing I'm not fond of, but I was partially prepared was the diameter of the fan. Notice that the 5" diameter inline fan is very hard to find. It is VERY hard to find a local hardware store that sells 5" diameter ducts. I had to buy it online and shipped to a store. Not a huge deal, but remember to buy beforehand and not think your nearest store will have it readily in hand should you get this size. Do not attempt to go one size down, it will significantly lower the cfm and cause more stress to the motor. I don't want bigger ducts so did not want to get a 5 to 6" 'reducer'. I was actually planning to get a 4" but wanted more air movement when needed.I've also dealt with the seller, he is extremely responsive and nice, however, much of the time that I talked to him, I'm not sure if he knew my answers. Like I would get a lot of "let me check with the people that made this product" or "yeah, that's what it's advertised so I guess that's it!" not directly quoting him but his general responses were like that. I even asked him about the possible humming should I reduce the speed and he said no humming at all, but one other reviewer noted that there is a hum. I don't have the electrical know how or time atm to figure the speed controls to this fan.So far it has worked well, does move a decent amount of air, but the whole selling point of the fan being a silent or near silent inline fan I don't find to be that true. Perhaps if you use a whole lot more piping or a sound dampening duct.
