Ideal for cables situated outside - well made

Recent weather tested it well for rain protection, after a spate of dryer days I put it out and it rained that night (sorry folks, yeah it was my fault clearly). And then rained lots more over the next few days. I came to check on it, opened it up and no. Can't speak for after any holes have been made for routing more cables or conduit in/out but actually so far I've only had one clip done up because the rubber seal between base and lid, pressed around a thin (3mm ish diameter) cable under the other clip (where there is a slot in the plastic at that place giving it a gap to not get crushed in - no gap in the foam/rubber/whatever seal there don't worry), that has not let any rain in at that space or even condensation. I did wonder whether there was condensation when I came back to it based on how the lid looked (and if so that might have suggested it was warm and humid when I closed it up previously) but it seemed not. Very happy with it so far, and good amount of space for several little project boxes, one with an IR receiver (hence choosing this box with the transparent lid, which does actually let the IR signal for remote control through as long as the control is aimed at it and not too far away). But I plan to use bluetooth to control the thing better from further away without needing line of sight so much, when I get round to working on that. Hence needing it to be plastic not metal.

Did exactly what I wanted and since I put a 12v digital timer switch in it very useful to have a see through cover.

Well made just the job for out doors.

Packaging for this item was totally inadequate- basically just thrown in a plastic bag. The acrylic is brittle and mine arrived with a cracked hinge. Apart from that it’s not a bad box but is overpriced.

Its ok it would be great if the two front clips stayed on. They both fell off and now I have a lid that won't stay closed.

Installé à l'extérieur pour protéger 2 prises, ce boitier me satisfait pleinement : facile à travailler (le plastique est à la fois rigide et tendre à percer), bien étanche (2 crochets de fermeture, ce boitier vient de subir une semaine de pluie et même pas une goutte à l'intérieur). J'espère qu'il résistera aux UV. Attention c'est un petit boitier, bien relire l'annonce qui est bien faite !

Perfecta para conexiones de audio en el exterior, adaptando una placa de fibra de vidrio, quedo un sistema de conexionado estanco y facil de acceder a la vez que visualmente no destacava con lo que teniamos antes que era muy vistoso.
