GSI Creos - B526 Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black, Mr. Hobby

This is the best miniature primer you can buy. Hands down. I have never had anything but a perfect candy shell coating, no matter how much I spray, the humidity or temperature. It’s expensive, and hazardous. But if you want a perfect thin primer with amazing coverage, look no further.

I got tired of buying primers that sputter and clog. You’re not saving any money if it doesn’t work and you’re definitely not saving yourself any time or headaches. This stuff works. It covers perfectly and quickly, and it adds a nice tooth to the finish so your paint will stick. I ordered more of this today.

Using Mr. Surfacer is one of the best things I've done model wise this past year. I first started using the air brushable version of this product, but discovered that it is absolutely insidious to properly clean the airbrush afterwards. So, switching the the canned version has saved me tons of cleaning and allows me to continue to prime and paint with greater quality. Pro tip - use outside or in an air booth because this stuff is stinky. You don't want to be breathing it in if you can help it.

Amazing coverage. Looks flawless If applied in thin coats and at the right conditions. Another fantastic GSI product.

If you're a modeler then you need this. It goes on easily and dries smooth as silk. Just beware it does have a fairly strong smell when applying. Spray it in a well ventilated area. Once dried there is no smell at all.

I am constantly amazed by the great leveling finish that Mr Finishing 1500 give you. It is so convenient in the can to quickly spray a base coat on things. Really impressed with the product and could not recommend more. Going to try to get the small bottles and spray out of an airbrush also, but as convenient as this is it will be hard to beat.
