Works great on my saltwater nano tanks! I have a 28G nanocube and a 7.5 rimless cube(both reef). Nano reef tanks need constant clean water and this Polyester filter helps out with that! I change a chunk about every two days on my 28G and about once every three days on the other small tank. I don't use it on my 75G FW tank and wouldn't recommend it for a FW tank, since I just use a filter sponge on that one and clean it once every 3-6 months(it's inside my aqua clear filter 110), but that is a very different story. I bought this 14 ounce bag on Tuesday April 15th 2014 and still have a little left, so it's very economical(so it's been 5 months so far). I just bought the 8 ounce bag instead, and it should last me a long time too. I would definitely recommend it for salt water aquariums. Cheers!

I use Filter Fiber to polish the water now and again. It did a good job. Is cheap and easy to replace. The only issues is now and again a little piece will escape in your tank. No matter how much you compact it. Still it's worth it to polish the water. I'd recommend getting filter fiber in sheet form that you can easily cut and place in your filter. That way you won't have to worry about compacting it or any potential pieces floating out of your HOB filter.If you prefer this form, it is a quality product.

I like the price and volume. It is only 8-ounce but you get tones of volume. It works well as filter. Easy to take it out when you need to replace it.

One of the main necessities of a filter is filter floss. The great thing about filter floss is that you buy a bag this size and it will last you for a long time. I tend to swap out used filter media quite often and it still lasts me a while. I know other people who do water changes in long intervals and rarly replace the filter floss. Either way, this stuff works and it works well. Too cheap to pass up. Polish up your water nicely.

This product is excellent. Can not find it in many Pet Stores. It is old style filtration, better and cheaper than Sponges. Last longer and cleans better. Since buying (going back) my Aquarium is much clearer and clean. Can use in any filter that takes Sponge.
