This power supply was very well packaged, and I’m impressed with the overall quality. It was securely wrapped in plastic with excellent cushioning for protection. I’m using it for my Chinese diesel heater, and it works perfectly. I also really like the plastic cover over the terminals, it adds extra safety. Overall, a perfect product.

This ALITOVE 30A power supply is bright, strong, and built with good quality components. It fits perfectly in my setup and delivers consistent power with no issues. The durability has been great so far, and it’s a solid budget-friendly alternative to more expensive brands. Excellent brightness and performance when used with LED projects. I bought this power supply to run a fuel transfer pump and it works just as advertised. I only used it one time, so I can't speak to it's longevity or long term reliability yet.

UPDATE: The original review was written based on the unit shipped to me. The seller quickly provided a replacement as a warranty which I have now had in operation for a couple of weeks. The unit works as advertised. As a higher power unit there is an integrated fan for cooling. This didn't work on the original unit which may be why it failed in the manner it did. The fan does generate some noise when on but it does cycle on and off as needed. You may want to keep this in mind depending on your installation requirements. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Bought the 30A power supply to run multiple 5 meter LED light strips (sold by same seller). It is a simple unit with good value for what it is supposed to do. The lack of any real instructions is not a hinderance. Upon arrival I attached a power cord (3 wire) to check operations. Output was nominally 12VDC with some slight ability to adjust this as expected. During the next month I installed the power supply and one string of LED lights as part of an in progress project. Seemed to work well but then I noticed some dimming of the lights over time. (a single 5M strip is well under the max rating of this unit). Measured the voltage at the LED strip and discovered it was now 9.5VDC. To make sure this wasn't an installation issue with the LED wiring I disconnected them and measured again at the power supply. Same result. Subsequent testing showed that the unit's output decreased over its on time regardless of load. I have measured it as low as 8.1 VDC with the adjustment turned all the way up. Either a bad unit (trying to get in touch with seller for a warranty replacement but not easy) or a bad design. Update 4/3/2020: the seller has offered to send a replacement unit. I will update this review once that one has arrived and been checked out.

12V 5A PSU is plenty for my small 500ma motor project. Recommend using these types of power supplies with a fused power cord safety switch. Most of the complaints here are because people are running loads near its maximum rated amperage which is never a good idea. Always get a power supply that is over your amperage needs to provide a good amount of overhead for your projects. Small power supplies like these (no active cooling) will burn out quickly if overtaxed.

Excellent quality, identical size to the one being replaced. 120 volt to 12 volt conversion was very accurate and stable. Proved to be a very good dry location power source for our led lighting needs.

bought this two years ago and it still going strong. i use it as a power supply for a oven we bought to use outside. the oven was designed for a travel trailer, so it required a 24 vdc power supply for the igniter and the internal light

I ordered this item with some trepidation after reading reviews showing components and wiring melting. I'm guessing that the 30A rating is more of a maximum instantaneous load than a steady state rating. The secret seems to be to run this well below the claimed power level. My Xiegu G90 draws about 6 amps or less on transmit, so the power supply is loafing, and I haven't heard the fan come on at all. For hams, the bad rap on switching power supplies such as this one is that they generate a lot of electrical noise and interfere with reception. So I put ferrite chokes on each of the 12V power leads before running them to the transceiver. I tested the transceiver on battery power and then with this power supply, and could hear no difference at all in the noise level, and no difference on the S-meter. I can't speak to reliability, since I've only used the supply for a short time, but when comparable power supplies from ham outlets run $150 or more, this is a pretty darn good deal. Edit 4/5/20. Power supply worked perfectly for about two weeks, then voltage dropped suddenly to between 6 and 7 volts. 220/110 switch remained on 110. Voltage adjustment potentiometer had little or no effect. Returned unit to Amazon for replacement, which apparently had to be sent from China, because it took several weeks to get here. New power supply works perfectly -- for now. I will update if this one also conks out. Dropped a star because I had to replace it. Edit 4/24/20: Replacement power supply conked out in precisely the same way as the first one. It's now putting out about 5 volts. I'm undecided as to whether to return it yet again for a replacement or just to give up and rely on the rock solid Bioenno battery I bought initially to power the transceiver. In either case, I can only give the unit one star as it is completely unsatisfactory for two consecutive units to fail in less than three weeks. Too bad, since when it worked it was completely satisfactory.

Es bueno por su tamaño para lo que necesito a funcionado.

Encendió solo durante la prueba, por lapso de 1 minuto. Luego no volvió a funcionar. El selector de entrada estaba en la posición correcta para corriente (220v). Probamos con un multímetro, sí registraba alimentación de corriente pero no volvió a dar salida del transformador. Muy mala calidad.
