Amazing product
All my life I have struggled with dry skin and on top of that, I live in a fairly dry climate. No amount of lotions, exfoliators (physical or chemical), oils, soaks, nothing touched this dry skin. NOTHING. Right before I bought this product, I used an entirely other exfoliating tool that buffed off hair and dead skin. At first I was thrilled by how well it worked. Then my skin started to burn and red blotches were forming. Guess I went a little too heavy on it. Tried again using barely any pressure and it was less effective and still left friction burns. Decided to toss that out but was super bummed because it had worked so well to remove dead skin! Then I found this and was skeptical. Almost $30 for a rock?! But the reviews eventually convinced me and ohh, my gawd, this thing is AMAZING. It works off all the dead skin, leaves no burns, and has left me with insanely soft, smooth skin. I don't think my skin has ever looked or felt like this; it feels literally SILKY. So happy I bought this and the $30 ain't a problem anymore since this thing will save me 100s more on lotions/oils/other misc products that never quite seem to cut it. Now to see if it helps out with my KP...

Detailed review
The short of it, this is an awesome exfoliator when used with the right technique. The details: I found that if you use *light* pressure and repetitive swipes you get the best result. I'm able to use it on my face with this method (obviously with even lighter pressure). Also I don't get the debris rub off from my face like I do for arms or legs. Don't let that be your goal or you'll wreck your face. This rock has decongested stubborn places on my skin that other exfoliators didn't touch. I definitely feel like my skin is breathing better and I'm much softer. This will lead to better skin hydration over time. I also noticed better lymph flow much like you would get from dry brushing. I do have a couple sensitive areas that didn't appreciate this rock (underboobs have some skin tags that got super irritated, and butt cheeks were burning!) So for all the reviews saying it burned their skin, I'd say they used to much pressure or their skin is highly inflamed already. Definitely don't use if you have eczema or acne.

Gotta have one
These rocks are the best to exfoliate, I have bought 3 of these already, one for me, one for my daughter and one for my husband. The best way to keep your skin smooth and even make scars fade.

A Long Review To Say I Love This!
I work in a warehouse and I get NASTY! Body soaps and stuff get the main dirt and grime off but I’ve noticed that over time there is a sticky residue left behind that stays dirty no matter what! So, I set out to try to remedy this. I’ve tried out scrubs but my skin is sensitive and would sometimes feel itchy or irritated afterwards from the chemicals in the scrubs. So I tried an exfoliating mitt and I could see the skin rolling off a bit but I had to press hard to get it work and sometimes it wouldn’t work at all. My hand is small and the mitt is large so it was difficult to use. It also started to develop a nasty smell over time so I had to throw it out. I’m not sure how, but stumbled across this bar and thought that this could be the answer to my problems. I’d never though of using a stone as a means of exfoliating but oh man….this thing works! The skin comes off like crazy and I feel so much cleaner and like my skin can finally breathe! Here’s the rundown. I’ve had this thing for two months and it isn’t developing a smell, it works just the same as it always has, it’s small and easy to use, it’s long lasting (even though I WILL be buying more as backup). I don’t see how I could possibly go back to any other means of exfoliation. Just be careful though, this doesn’t need as much pressure and does feel rough on the skin. I think there is a balance though because its not as rough as say, a foot pumice. However, it does what it needs to do without skin irritation. I did go too hard on my arms the first time and left a rash that lasted a few days. This was USER ERROR, and not a problem with the product. Since then I have been more careful and have had absolutely no issues. It is still kind of rough feeling on my stomach so I go very lightly there. Obviously don’t use this on your face! I don’t even use lotion afterwards and love the clean feeling but using lotion would probably make this even better!

Perfect exfoliating stone
I have been searching over a decade for an exfoliating stone like my grandmother uses when we were in the Philippines. This one is perfect. Rough enough to good a good exfoliation all over your body but not too rough to rub your skin raw. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using it in the shower. Even my 11 year old likes using it! A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Works best after a few uses
This body stone works well and leaves my skin smooth! The first use is a little rough as my skin wasn't use to using it, but no issues after. I apply body wash directly to the stone and the stone has held up very well!

It is a great product
Love it. I've had one for over 20 years but numerous drops in the shower has chipped it. My daughter was having a problem with dry and ashy skin and wanted something better than a netted bath poof to exfoliate with. She loves it a lot. I told her that the first time or two, soak in a very warm bath and then use the stone to get rid of the dry dead skin build up. After that just using it in the shower should take care of everything just fine. I'm going to replace my chipped stone and then just put the old one in my "go bag" for when I travel.
