My legs get very swollen and I have varicose veins as well. This product improve the circulation in my legs, brings down the swelling, and significantly reduces the appearance of varicose veins. It is very soothing. This is the only product that I've found that works for my condition. Just be careful. Don't apply it to any area that has an open sore. Always wash your hands thoroughly after using the product and when washing it off in the shower, use a separate wash cloth to wash it off your legs because you don't want to accidentally transfer the gel to another sensitive part of your body (your booty or ....) :)

I have given this product 5*s & it is worth it! I have very painful thread veins on my lower legs and ankles - so painful that at the end of the day it is unbearable - this is my legacy from years of bar-work, waitressing & retail work - to say nothing of 5 inch stilletoes & dancing. This was recommended to me by a friend from Germany where Horse-chestnut related cream, gels & bath soaks are recommended by the medical profession - with good reason, they work! This gel is the easiest & most reliable I have found in the UK & I have been using it for over 10 years. Now, it does not cure the damaged veins but it soothes and relieves them, reduces their visibility by shrinking them and reduces the pain, which is caused mostly by the inflammation of the veins themselves. Application is easy, smooth a peas-sized amount over an area about 4" x 6" - do not rub in, repeat over the affected area. I use it when I have been out & my ankles ache, and most nights at bed time unless I've had a really lazy, inactive day - but I also carry a small amount in a little plastic pot - about a teaspoonful - if I am going to be out and active all day, & use a little as needed. The only drawback I have found is that this product must not be used on the face, though no reason is given & you should also rinse away immediately if you get it in the eyes. At about £10 per tube is sounds pricey, but you use as little as needed to cover the area & only when there is pain & inflammation, not 3 times a day every day as with so many products. Anyway, it works for me so maybe it will for you!

Firstly I have to point out that, although the product does not claim to do this, my attention was brought to this product when I needed something to strengthen my veins due to increasingly obvious protruding veins (often the precurser to varicose veins) in my legs. I researched natural remedies for varicose veins and the active ingredient in Horse Chestnut came up as a one to help. I stopped crossing my legs when sitting down, started putting my feet up when sitting in the evening and started applying this gel once a day in the evening before bed. These techniques combined have reduced the problem veins dramatically after a couple of months and has kept the problem at bay. My father-in-law has seen a similar affect after I gave him some of this gel to try. The only down side is that you must wait until the product is completely dry before crawling into bed and even then the sheets can sometimes get a slight mark on them. Also wash the area in the morning as sometimes the patches can remain sticky. It washes off your clothing and bed sheets easily however. So in short this product is one of the essentials in my routine, however please remember that the product does not claim to do any of this - this is just my (non scientific) findings!
