Love these boots!
I couldn't be happier with these boots! I live in WI and while they aren't great for those 2 foot snowstorms, they're great for everything else. I lived in these most of the winter because they're ultra comfy, very warm (until it hits like -20 but then you're pretty much screwed anyway unless you wear extra socks and all that), and superrr cute! They've been waterproof as far as I can tell also, haven't had any issues with that. They fit true to size and are great for anyone that has plantar fasciitis. They do come up a little past the ankles, just so you're aware they aren't a super tall boot but that's what I was looking for -- something in the middle. 10/10 recommend!

Happy Winter Feet!
I have to weigh in on this boot. Like other reviewers have stated, it runs small. In fact, I own a pair of Columbia Minx boots. for which I sized up 1/2 size. These Heavenly Shorties run even smaller. I returned the smaller size and went up to a full size because my toes felt smooshed and claustrophobic. The effort was worth it because the larger size is golden! This boot has even better support and warmth than the Minx. It looks so cute with leggins and is wonderful for either zipping around or hiking. Another feature I like about Columbia boots is that you can use Yak Trax for traction on ice easily. (If you run or dogwalk daily, check these out.) Both these Heavenly boots plus the Trax make for flexible and sure footing, nor does the boot deform when you remove the Trax. Two thumbs up from an infrequent reviewer here!

Not for Average to Wide Feet
For referance, I normally wear an 8 to 8.5 in ladies. The ball of my foot is just a little wider than the "average" shoe width, but most B width (medium width) shoes and boots fit comfortably. Wide width shoes are almost always too wide. My heel is relatively narrow. Pros: They seem warm? I tried them on and walked around on my carpeting for a few laps, and my cold toes started to warm up, so that was nice. The sole is OMG cushiony, and not very thick - I prefer zero rise shoes and boots when possible, and if these aren't zero rise, they seem close. Cons: So. Freaking. Narrow. I live in snow country, and we regularly have temps in the single digits and negatives during our long winters. Snow and slush are common, so water proof is preferred and highly water resistant is necessary. I work in an office, but am in and out of a warehouse as well. I've been looking for a pair of shorter (ankle height or just above) snow boots that will keep my feet and ankles warm and dry, are easy to get on and off, and will work with both boot cut and skinny jeans. These looked like they'd fit the bill, and Columbia products are generally worth the price. Unfortunately, as I noted above, these things are freaking narrow. After 2 laps on my living room - maybe 200 steps? - the bones in the ball of my foot were hurting. I don't wear thick socks in winter, my go to socks are alpaca or merino wool - warm, moisture wicking, and no thicker than a normal cotton or cotton blend sock. Nothing that I saw in the Amazon reviews prepared me for how narrow these are, so I thought it might just be my feet vs their lathe width. I got my MIL (same shoe size, but narrower foot width) to try the boots on, and she immediately said that they were too tight and hurting her feet - she didn't even want to stand up in them. I decided to check out the reviews on Zappos and Columbia, and saw several reviews that recommended going up a half size. Unfortunately, as I have a narrow heel, sizing up usually means the heel rubs 😕 Other than the fit, I'm not sold on the looks of the boot in person. I love the color way (black/deep water), but the way the sole narrows in height at the ball of the foot makes the boots look almost clunky in person... Almost as though they've been worn for a while by someone who rolls their foot to the outside, and this has worn down the outer edge of the sole. This design choice made even my MILs narrow to average width feet look wide. I'm going to return these; if I size up, I'll update my review.

"Heavenly" is Right! (once you get the right size)
I'd recommend ordering a full size larger or, if your foot is wide like mine, a size and a half larger. I'm a size 7 1/2 wide and ordered an 8 1/2. It was just a bit too tight on one foot, so I returned them and got a size 9. Thank goodness, I got them within two days as I had a trip planned. I wore them in Alaska in February and they kept my feet toasty warm (and dry!) while dog sledding, crossing an ice-covered river, and lots of walking through snow. I brought some super thick socks along and found I didn't need them. Just regular warm socks were enough. The boots are so cute, too, with their fake-fur trim that I wore them out with a dress and leggings one night. I also really like that the boots give traction. There was an ice-covered grate walkway leading up to our room and others said how slippery it was. I never noticed. I'm back in Tennessee now and it's 50 degrees, so I can't wear my boots. :( I'll have to book another cold-weather holiday so I can wear them again. That's how much I love these boots! Incidentally, I had no trouble with returning the smaller sized boots. I got a full refund within hours.

Warm and waterproof!
These boots are awesome! I tried them on in a store and a size 8 fit fine, but since I wanted to be able to wear thicker socks I got an 8.5 I think an 8 would have still been fine, but the 8.5s are also working out for me. These boots are so warm and cozy, I love them! I've worn them while biking in pouring rain and my feet stayed dry, so they're waterproof! Also, one thing to note is that the laces don't go up that high, so they're easy to slip on and off, which I actually really like, but if you're looking for a more secure fit, this probably won't work. The inside cushioning is nice and padded in the footbed, and the soles give lots of traction. Great boots for winter weather!

incredibly comfortable and lightweight
I had to buy a 1/2 size bigger, and they fit PERFECTLY! These boots are very comfortable. It hasn't snowed yet, or been cold enough yet to wear them but right out of the box, they are wonderful. I hope I feel that way when we get the winter storms. ICK!

Runs way small, but warm. Order a larger size!
These shoes are not correctly sized AT ALL. I wear a 7.5 with super thin summer socks, and an eight with “cushioned” socks. I get an 8.5 to use my very thick heavy wool socks in winter (Redhead wool from Bass Pro so you can judge yourself.) I ordered an 8.5, the shoes I received are labeled 8.5, yet I could barely get my naked foot to get in and my toes were just slightly crunched. I left them on just to test the Omni Heat, and that was actually excellent. Without socks on, my toes were warm in 20F for two hours while sitting on my porch. That is amazing because even with my winter wool socks, my toes are always freezing, even when I’m active. So he, the shoes perform well, but only if you can get them on your feet! That is a rather critical part of quality, so two stars off for the incredibly inaccurate sizing.
