A Must-Have for your piece of mind, even leave it in my truck
The LifeStraw is hands-down one of the best investments I’ve made for hiking and emergency preparedness. It’s lightweight, compact, and incredibly easy to use—just uncap and sip directly from a stream, lake, or water bottle. No pumping, no waiting, no chemicals. What really impressed me is the peace of mind it offers. Knowing it filters out bacteria, parasites, and microplastics makes it a reliable companion whether you're on the trail, traveling, or building a go-bag. I’ve used it on multiple backpacking trips and it’s never let me down. Highly recommend for anyone who spends time outdoors or wants to be ready for unexpected situations. It’s simple, effective, and worth every penny. Another nice feature is you can screw it on a water bottle. so fill your bottle up from a water source screw the straw on and squeez it through.

A Lifesaver in the Great Outdoors: The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter
When it comes to adventuring in the great outdoors, having access to clean drinking water is a top priority. The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter has become an essential companion for my outdoor expeditions, and I cannot recommend it enough. Design and Portability (5/5): One of the first things that struck me about the LifeStraw is its sleek and straightforward design. It's incredibly lightweight and compact, making it a breeze to carry in my backpack or even in my pocket. This filter takes up minimal space, which is a major plus when you're trying to keep your gear load as light as possible. The convenience of being able to drink directly from a water source cannot be overstated. Filtering Efficiency (5/5): The most crucial aspect of any water filter is its ability to remove contaminants effectively, and the LifeStraw excels in this regard. I have used it in a variety of environments, from clear mountain streams to questionable backcountry ponds, and it consistently delivered clean, safe drinking water. It filters out 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa, which provides peace of mind when you're relying on it for your hydration needs. Ease of Use (5/5): Using the LifeStraw is incredibly simple. Just dip the bottom end into your water source, and start drinking through the mouthpiece. There's no need for pumping, batteries, or chemicals. It's practically foolproof, and the flow rate is impressive, allowing for a quick and easy drinking experience. Durability (5/5): I've put my LifeStraw through the wringer, subjecting it to various weather conditions and rough handling, and it has proven to be remarkably durable. It's made to last, and the high-quality materials ensure it can withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures. Value for Money (5/5): Considering its reasonable price point and the fact that it can filter up to 4,000 liters (or 1,000 gallons) of water, the LifeStraw is an incredible value. Whether you're a backpacker, camper, hiker, or prepper, this is a must-have addition to your gear collection. If you need to hook up a hose to this filter, the diameter is 3/8 and this hose fits perfectly: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FJ9GZYV?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 In conclusion, the LifeStraw Personal Water Filter is a game-changer for anyone who enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. Lightweight, Reliable, and a Must-Have for the Outdoors
Took this LifeStraw on a recent hiking trip and was seriously impressed. It’s super lightweight and easy to pack—barely takes up any space in my bag. I used it to drink straight from a stream and the water tasted clean and fresh, no weird aftertaste. What I love most is the peace of mind it gives you. Whether you’re hiking, camping, or just want a solid emergency backup, this is a no-brainer. It's simple to use, no moving parts or setup, and it’s BPA-free, which is a bonus. I’ve also added one to my emergency kit at home. For the price and quality, it’s an essential bit of gear for anyone who spends time outdoors or just wants to be prepared.

Useful so may ways
Everyone should have one if you camp or hike or get out in the wilderness. They are also great for your emergency kit you probably keep in the garage. They are bigger than a regular straw but not enormous. They work well at filtering water anywhere, anytime. I first learned about these when they were brand new and being touted for people without access to clean, safe water in poor countries. They have been around for years, just not so easily accessible until now. They are a great value for the money.

Great for mountain biking - just don't lose the bottom cap!
Been using this for about 5 months on my mountain bike trails around Salt Lake. I hate carrying those bulky water backpacks, so this has been perfect to just toss in my frame pack when I'm hitting the high-mountain trails. Super lightweight and doesn't take up much space. The filtering works great - I've used it several times to drink from mountain water sources without any issues. Flow rate is decent and I haven't had any problems with clogging from sediment. Only real complaint is that the bottom cover broke off pretty easily and I lost it, which is kind of annoying. Still works fine without it, but would've been nice if it was more securely attached. Despite that small issue, it's been a reliable piece of gear for my rides.

Attached filter to a 2L pouch setting up a gravity system. Lake Water filtered through quite quickly and tasted good. No aftertaste of any sorts. Taking it on a camping trip this week.

Used for a recent trip. Love that it is so lightweight, compact and easy to use. Fitted a cheap unknown brand of foldable plastic bottle on the inlet end (could screw in without leaks), to dispense into our water bottles 1-2x per day. Flow rate is acceptable

Great product. I have a vacation home with not the best quality water and this does the trick. Saves me from buying and bringing bottled water.
