Stohlquist Betsea Women's Lifejacket - US Coast Guard Approved Level 70N - for Kayaking, Paddleboarding and Water Adventures

Wonderful jacket! It fits plus size women very well. It’s more comfortable than most other lifejackets I’ve ever worn. I taught see kayaking for five years wearing this brand of life, jacket for women and I finally had to throw out my old jacket as it had served its lifespan of daily use for several years, followed by storage for several years. I’m very happy with the design of this jacket and how it fits women Excellent for kayaking. Really excellent design that lets you paddle easier than the jacket you find at big box stores for boating and other kayaking specific jackets. The ability to keep your arms next to your side and to have a cut out for the seat back and to still allow you torso maneuverability for rolling is excellent. The zippers come on and off easily. The pockets are well thought out and designed. Excellent value. I highly Recommend.

family uses these for paddling/OC - good product and securely stays on during water activity. comfortable to wear - however haven't needed to use it as a floating device as not fallen into water yet, but peace of mind it's there if that ever happens!

Bought this to replace an older Stohlquist jacket and am very pleased with the fit and comfort. I am a raft guide and this jacket hugs me without being constricting, doesn't tend to ride up and dries out very quickly. The large pocket on the front is very handy and the side entry function is easy on and off. I wear a 44 regular sport coat and the L/XL fits me great.

Great kayak vest. I'm a first time kayaker. I've got a 46" chest which is the upper size limit for the LG/XL. The vest is snug as expected. Adjustable straps for shoulders, sides, and waist are a quick and custom to your form and comfort. There is a sturdy and easy operating five inch zipper at the lower front right that you use to zip in or out rather quickly. Order a waterproof pouch so that you can put your cell in the front zip easy access pocket. Loved this vest.

I use this for whitewater kayaking because it has good flotation but also allows efficient arm movement.

Frees up arms.

It’s low profile, I like the generous pocket. I even like the fun and highly visible color. Lots of other ones that I was originally interested in are sold out I’m sure because of supply issues. I’m glad I ended up with this one. I have owned a stohlquist vest similar to this back in the 2000s and this seems to be a similar updated version. Very happy for the price and quality. I bought this for powerboating and kayaking.

This is the first paddling specific PFD I’ve had and think it’s a good compromise between size and thickness of the floatation. I will say, if you’re one who just keeps their PFD in the boat until you dump, I think this would be very difficult to put on in the water as the mesh side panel with zipper can be a bit cumbersome to get zipped and snapped. But, the side zip allows for the nice front pocket where I keep my phone and small binoculars. I’ve paddled around 50 mi so far and no complaints.
