Works well! So portable. Have to not forget my “lightning to USB” cord to go with it since it is not an all-in-one system like the previous portable charger I had in past BUT I think it holds up better. Small size with a battery life as described. Easy to stow in purse or pocket BUT DON’T FORGET YOUR CHARGING CORD. ☺️ Comes with a nice little drawstring net pouch to put everything in.

Great little charger! I’ve used one of these for years and lately taken to giving them as gifts. They are perfect for the teen to Grandma as everyone needs ready power available when yours runs out. Add a double USB retractable plug and you’ve got everything you need in one neat little bag! Throw this in your purse, carry-on or glove box and you are ready to go 👍🏻

We love this Anker PowerCore 5000, Ultra-Compact 5000mAh External Battery with High-Speed Charging Technology, Power Bank for our iPhones. It charges FAST, super fast, faster than the electrical outlets. But it also needs to itself be charged soon after. In fact, we found that after charging two nearly zero-low battery phones, it needs to be charged. Great tool for travel and long distances where you might not be able to charge those handy little iPhones. It is light and portable, I stick it in my purse, and such a great peace of mind!

I ordered this for a trip to Europe that my boyfriend and I will be taking at the end of this month. I started using it regularly beforehand so I could get an idea of what to expect before we left. We both have an IPhone 6S and when the portable charger is full it can do two full charges (essentially one for each of our phones).I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend for those who are traveling. The unit is portable enough to conveniently fit into a coat or jacket pocket. I was impressed with the phone charging speed as well.One aspect I did notice when you plug your phone in to the charger, it doesn't always automatically begin charging. This is easily remedied by simply pushing the power button on the side of the charger. I think if left unused for a while, it will go into a type of sleep mode to preserve battery life.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. The only reason I did not award the 5th star is because I'd like to see how the battery holds up over time and if we are still able to get two full charges after several months of use.

This is a great and useful item. I got this for my sister as a gift and it’s something people need.

So I find that the Anker Powercore 5000 provides ample output to fast charge my Galaxy Note 8 (with a USB-A to USB-C cable).I also believe 5000mAH is just about right for a recharger in terms of weight carried and volume, and also in terms of cost and fear of failure loss of value (battery devices like these have somewhat arbitrary warranty coverage - they do die, after all).Not so sure about the cylinder versus the flat form factor. I think that 3000mAH in cylinder form is much more "pocket and purse" friendly than the 5000mAH cylinder size/density (compared to a 10,000MAH flat version, for example). Personal choice I think, but that's my opinion.Finally, the cylinder form factor tends to lend itself to including an LED to make it a flashlight, too, for added utility. Anker didn't get the memo, so no light on this model.

Gets the job done (charging) but dies in less than an hour so sometimes doesnt fully charge my phone

The small dize makes it very convenient for everyday use.
