Pleasantly surprised to say the least
I don't usually bother to offer product reviews, but felt compelled to in this case, this little radio is great, full-sounding speaker and easy to operate, but the best feature is its reception which is notably better than name brand small portable radios that are more expensive. The radio tunes accurately but pulls in stations my other small radios don't, and with clarity. Excellent reception and overall a very worthwhile purchase.

Best little radio ever
So back in the day everyone had a radio like this. It is small, very portable but is powerful and loud. I put batteries in this and that was a long time ago. Use this radio all the time in the yard, has great reception. The main thing is that its very durable, not cheaply made AND it is so loud for its size. A great purchase!!

Is a good choice for Hurricanes 🌀 season, camping and is very easy to operate
Super fast delivery, the radio is excelent for the price, it catch well all the radio stations FM & AM. It has a tune LED green that optically show when the station is well tuned. It's operation is very simple like the old ones on the 60s. Good size, you have to be careful when operate the switches NOT BE ROUGH they are not heavy duty.In general is a good product and is funcional for example during hurricane season when there is a black out and the is not internet and cell signal, so you continue informed about the situation.

Nice Tran
Super easy to use with good sound. Nice that you can listen without the headphones. Only wish there was a broader selection in stations. Happy with it.

Perfect for Camp – My Son Loved It
I bought the PRUNUS J-166 Portable Radio for my son to take to his away camp, since electronics weren’t allowed, and it was a huge hit! The size is perfect—small enough to carry around easily, and the back clip made it convenient for him to attach to his clothing or backpack. The reception was excellent, even in the camp’s remote location, and the tuning light made it easy for him to find his favorite stations. He really enjoyed having music and news to listen to during downtime, and it kept him entertained without needing a phone or tablet. The battery life lasted the entire trip without needing a replacement, which was a big plus.If you’re looking for a simple, reliable, and fun device for kids or adults in no-electronics settings like camps, hiking trips, or just relaxing outside, this radio is perfect!

A good little portable radio!
This is a great and very affordable portable radio. I purchased this for the Drive In movie theater, so we can sit in the back of my truck. It picked up the station very clearly and the sound wasn't bad at all. I highly recommend

Great performance for the price!
I bought this pocket radio with minimal expectations - I wanted it for local talk & sports stations, no DX or high fidelity sound required. The speaker sound quality is surprisingly good - no bass of course, but clear and clean otherwise. The audio over headphones is also good. It's about as simple and functional as it gets - tuner and volume wheels, AM/FM/OFF slide switch, and audio jack. A tuning light comes on to indicate station lock, and the turning works well. It's a little more finicky on AM than FM but once locked in it's fine. The extendable antenna seems sturdy but is not really needed for the local stations. I have not done any extensive testing with weaker stations.Build quality is acceptable, though I wouldn't want to drop it. It's very lightweight. I appreciate that the battery cover is "captured" so that it would be harder to lose than one that completely pops off.I'm very satisfied with it. I rate it at five stars because given the cost, and what it provides, I couldn't ask for more.

Great for travel.
I purchased this radio specifically to cross listening to Cuban propaganda on actual Cuban AM radio stations located inside Cuba off my bucket list. Well... Let's just say I'm impressed because I picked up Cuba, America, and Turks and Caicos while I was deep inside Bahamas. The sound is adequate, the 3.5mm jack for private listening is a major plus, reception of radio signals while out in the middle of the ocean is fantastic....particularly AM broadcasts at night. The controls are basic switches, pots, and variable caps for ease of use and the volume control has a wide range. I cannot verify clarity since I was knowingly and willingly picking up radio stations well over 100 miles away. One does not need to raise the telescoping antenna to receive local FM channels or distant AM broadcasts after dark. I'm not sure how it works while in mountainous conditions or in temperature inversions, though I do live in the mountains and will test it some time for that. I'm not able to comment on durability since I only bought this unit to be disposable. The only flaw is that my tuning needle (that orange bit) which shows where I am on the radio frequency is a wee bit crooked. But, that's not a turn off for someone who bought this to be both cheap and disposable.
