Works, but not like you think it might.
I bought this so I could listen to audio through my xbox controller. I found out that you use it to speak through, but not to hear audio through. Just an FYI. I'm sure it's a great product though, feels good quality.

Perfect fit adapter for using ear phones with cordless phone (Edited Rating)
I initially rated this with 5 stars, but that was based on just the fit. Now that I have tried it I can see why there were some not so good reviews. This adapter is necessary to use my cordless house phone hands free using my cell phone ear buds. The ear buds have a 3.5 mm male end that would not fit into my Panasonic cordless phone jack, which is 2.5 mm female. I plug the male end of my ear buds into the adapter, and then plug the male end of the adapter into my phone. Fits perfectly. However, when plugged all the way into the Panasonic phone jack, I can only hear out of one of the ear buds. If I pull the adapter end out of my phone a bit, I can hear out of both buds. The same results when I pull my ear bud end out of the female adapter part a bit. I tried it with 3 different sets of ear buds with the same results. It is not optimal, but when using my cordless phone to talk, I will put up with it. It works half way, but for the price, I guess that's good. Plus, I do not want to hassle with the return. I bought two of them, so guess I will be putting up with one ear hearing for quite a while.

Cheap and works fine
Used for shift work to wear regular headphones instead of uncomfortable earpieces.Work wells, plugs in fine and no issues.

Not good for my Bose Soundlink Headphones
I bought this to have an extra cable when I use my Bose Soundlink Headphones with my old non-blutooth ipod. It works BUT sound only goes to one ear when plugged all the way through on the headphone side (the smaller plug). To hear stereo sound, you have to wiggle the plug going to the headphones and has to be plugged only 3 quarters of the way through making the cable loose and not good for use on rigorous activities. The product seem to be also made from very cheap materials. The price was too high for this item but with not many sellers of this item, the seller had bumped the price too much. This product should only cost about $2.00.

Sound goes in and out.
There’s no sound if you plug it all the way in. It has to be halfway in and halfway out to work. If you move it, the sounds cuts out till you adjust it to that halfway point. It can become annoying after a while.
