Great wood knife
Glad I found this company and this wood tool. It really is a great little knife for whittling, etc. The handle fits perfectly and the blade is sharp. When in the flow, this little knife cuts through oak and poplar like butter. It's a pleasure to use.

Great product, terrible shipping.
This knife is great! I have zero complaints about the company or the quality, and will continue to happily use them. I laugh every time I see they package their knives with branded bandages.However, it was shipped with no sheath or blade cover, in a smashed cardboard box, in a thin paper bag. I'm SO shocked there wasn't a trail of bodies throughout the entire shipping process.Please, Amazon, for the sake of the delivery guys, consider safety when shipping stabbies. I couldn't live with the guilt. That knife should only every taste my blood.

I am pleased with the knife
After some cleanup the knife is a very good value for $13 dollars. The main reason I bought the knife is that the description said that the blade is hardened to 58 to 62 Rockwell hardness, I believe this is true because when I was filing the back of the blade round the metal felt like it was at least 58 to 62 Rockwell. I would not recommend that someone who can not make some adjustments buy this knife. As for me the knife works perfectly as I buy usability not looks. I am very pleased with the knife.

Very good carving knife for price
This is a well made, sharp knife for carving wood. Great for price. Nice starter tool

Beginner or Expert...this Sloyd Knife gets the job done and won't break the bank.
I'm a spoon carver. I use all sorts of knives and chisels to get the job done. When I'm carving, I look for a knife that is comfortable to hold, easy to sharpen and retains it's edge. The Beavercraft Sloyd exceeds all of these expectations. If you are on the fence, don't wait. This is one of those rare deals that actually works.

Mine didn't arrive brand new.
Mine has scratches all over the blade for some reason, no big deal, but I do like to keep my blades very nice looking.
