Q: Is the material on the top cover stretchy? And, does the inside white layer of the bolster have a zipper as well?

No, the cover is not stretchy, it feels like suede. There is a zipper for the white layer inside.

Q: My bolster is still flat. How long to expand? I have had mine for 5 days

What do you mean by "flat"??? If it hasn't expanded to at least 5" or 6 " in height, then it may be defective. I left my bolster out for about 5 days, and it expanded in height to about 5", but it expanded unevenly (also it was hard as a rock and VERY uncomfortable), so I attempted to return it via UPS with an Amazon return code. UPS wouldn't accept it because it wouldn't "fit into the Amazon Box" and asked me to wrap it individually. 😮 Maybe your experience will be different.

Q: How do you wash the cover?

Unzip it and throw it in a washing machine, then hang it up to dry!
