Strategic and informative
Very good and informative book, definitely recommended for beginners starting out in product formulation. I purchased this for my new skincare range and found the advice on percentage and ratio distribution for each product was very useful as I wasn't sure how to do this previously. There's also a wide range of product types from lotions, butters, perfumes, and candles that I found appealed to my kind of hobbies.

Looks interesting.
Quite a big book could have been condensed to half the size.

Natural Cosmetic Formulation
I found this book knowledgeable and a really good read with some great tips. Great if you're thinking of starting a skincare company. This book does not give you recipes or tell you how to set up a business. It's more of a guide so you can experiment for yourself. Skincare requires a great deal of testing and as such is expensive which is why I suspect the author doesn't share her recipes.

I already purchased Natural Skin Care & Cosmetic Formulation (2in 1) book. So didn’t realise I was doubling up when I purchased the individual copy of Alice Burrell’s Natural Cosmetic Foundation as they were purchased close together and had different covers. Wasn’t till I received both books that I realised the second part of the first book was actually the same. A bit confusing.

Loved the back to basics remedies. Liked the common sense recipes. Excellent reverence and go to in a pinch.

The recipes in this book include recipe's that "EWG VERIFIED products cannot contain". I am very disappointed. Will be returning this book.

Good and informative so when I buy stuff I know it is more natural; however I thought I would give me was to make this stuff at home, and there is none of that.

it seems like you have to basically be a chemist to use this book.. every ingredient named in the book i have no idea what it is or how to pronounce it. If it were beginner friendly like the title says i would have an actual name instead of a chemical compound.. The author didn't even consider to provide both.. which actually seems in itself very misleading. Dont feel like figuring it out.. To make something from here I would have to Google the long chemical compound names of each ingredient and figure out how to get it to make one thing. It doesn't seem very natural at all, its just telling you how to make cosmetics. They also don't provide any information about how long these cosmetics last? The cover and description are extremely misleading and werent really what I was looking for. These aren't natural.. they are just cosmetics.
