Great low cost upgrade
I bought an old beater car to use in town and save gas. It had an old beat up Kenwood with no Bluetooth in it. Because this car is old and high mileage I didn’t want to spend a lot. This radio was a great choice. Super easy to set up. My only negative is the display doesn’t get very bright. But other than that I love it.You have Bluetooth and usb and aux line to use. Actually you have 2 Bluetooth. The coolest part is if you already have a Sony Bluetooth speaker this radio uses the same app and you can control everything though your phone. I added 4 new 6.5 inch JBL speakers and the sound is 1000 times better. No it is not high end and not for the pickiest of listeners. But for the money it was a great upgrade to my old clunker.

Great sound quality for the price
Bought these as replacements for the factory tweeter/mid-woofer set that was obviously damaged in my car. I would say that I am better than your average shade tree car stereo installer if that helps anyone. First off the package was much smaller than i expected and there is a bunch packed into it tightly. Be careful unpacking. The mid-woofer has a rubber surround which I noticed first off. The terminals for the speakers are somewhat flimsy but almost all JBL speakers I have used since 1986 have this similar design. Be careful placing the speaker terminals on. Soldering would be better but getting the terminal hot could cause other issues. the tweeter is about the diameter of a quarter only 1/2" tall. It comes with so many different mounting devices for the tweeter that you should not have any issues mounting them just about anywhere. I used the universal star looking ones and broke off some perforated tabs to make it fit into the factory location using the factory mounting brackets for the originals. The screw terminals on the crossover makes it easier to hook without adding other connector hardware (slide terminals, etc.). The only real complaint was trying to figure out which terminal on the tweeter is positive. It comes with a pigtail cable already soldered in and about 6" of wire. Turns out after some digging that the wire with the black stripe (hard to see) is actually the negative (-) wire. Hope this helps. Once mounted these sound really good. My cavernous door panel could use some insulation behind it to help improve the mid-bass sound but that's being overly critical. The tweeter is clean and does not fatigue the hearing at higher volumes. I love them and would recommend them. Oh yeah I am only pushing them with factory deck power so 14+ watts....still sound very very good. Be sure to use the crossovers provided or they will sound horrible. Take care in wiring the crossover also if not wired correctly these will definitely not sound right and will do damage. Be sure to check out the helpful videos on JBL website before buying and purchasing. For the price this is an amazing value.

Very satisfied!!!
These punch way above their price point. Used as rear speakers and they are louder and seem more efficient than my fronts. Highly recommend!!!

Good Treble
Not really noticing much out of these and were a little disappointed with the midrange that they produce but they are crisp and vocals sounds nice. I wasn't expecting much bass but there's not really any at all. Speakers seem to be good quality overall.

Good quality
Love them. They are loud and have great clarity. I am running them on a Kenwood deck. Not a lot of bass but nothing a small sub won’t fix.

Great sound, efficient drivers. Good price.
Right product at the right price. Shipped quickly. Fits my 2000 VW Jetta (mk 4). Replaced dry rotted speakers with JBL Club 6500 tweeter/mid-woofer combo. Man, does it sound nice now. It was a tricky bit of business with the tweeters. Tip: use dremel tool to carefully remove plastic welds from OEM tweeters, then you can position the new tweeters and apply hot glue liberally. If you use the OEM harness for the tweeter (desolder new leads from tweeter and solder OEM leads on), you can more easily remove door panels if needed later. Then you can snip the white (tweeter neg) and black (tweeter pos) wires from the woofer wiring harness and connect a short run of speaker wire for the tweeter to the crossover. The woofer can be wired directly to the speaker in the lower part of the door. Tip: run wires through the same loom that runs into the door hinge boot. With the OEM woofer out (you'll have to drill out rivets), you can feel for the wire as you push it through. Then all you have to do is make those connections on the crossover. Hope that helps someone out there. Not for the easily frustrated, but well worth the effort. Really crisp highs without assaulting the ears... fantastic bass response with low to moderate volume. Definitely would benefit from more powerful amp if you really want to rattle the doors and bounce down the road. Oh, and don't let the 4 ohm thing bother you. OEM wiring tends to be smaller gauge, so low resistance in the speakers it not an issue, since OEM wiring is probably raising it before it gets to your head unit. Purists may want to run all their own wire, but you don't need to do that for pretty amazing sound. Now I just hope the car lasts another 5 years to enjoy it.
