How granular is the ancestry detail? Can it distinguish British from Irish, and even specific regions?

The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart. British & Irish is one of our reference populations and represents a genetically similar group. We are not able to break it down at this time.
