I underestimated the size. It’s huge! I had to order more potting soil. HA! Great depth for roots. It will easily accommodate 4 Canna risomes Bought it as a patio container for Canna Lillies. The drainage holes are great. Super sturdy. This planter will last forever. It’s going to be heavy once it’s filled so I am going to put it on a T-base with casters so I will be able to rotate/move it, as needed. This will also allow good drainage. It looks great. It does look like wood at short distance. This is a good price for such a large, quality planter.

The plastic whisky barrel looks nice and is very light. I liked its large size, color and it has sufficient holes in the bottom to provide for drainage. Plus, the price is reasonable for what you get. But the plastic body is kind of thin so I don't know how well it will hold up to years of use. I guess time will tell.

Decent quality fake barrel planter. I typically find these fake barrel planters cheesy but this looks like the real deal even when you are right up on it. You will not know its fake till you touch it. I got one to use on my deck for an Elephant Ear plant and then I saw them at Lowe's for a few bucks less and grabbed a few more for my other tropical like the Banna tree and my wife's herb garden and they all love them. The plants doubled in size in just a few weeks after transplanting. Even my coconut palm loves it as well as my pineapple plants that winter inside. Lol no my dining room is going to be a tropical oasis come winter time when they come inside and are under the led grow light bars. As I said I am not a fan of the fake barrel planters but these are excellent quality and look legit till you touch them and would definitely recommend them if you need a large planter pot. Since my plants love them.

Just received this. Hasn't been through a winter yet so no guarantees, but seems very sturdy and strong. Also, very nice looking.

These outlast wood. My wood containers are falling apart after 3 years. I have grown beautiful plants with these. I intend to use them exclusively.

I thought it would be real wood. It was a fake wood and rather delicate. Hope it holds up.

Oh wow! The wood looks so realistic - purely plastic item. There are holes along the bottom for irrigation. Placed 2 six inch potted mums and one 8-inch potted mum with a huge bag of dirt outside. There is still plenty of room for the flowers to expand and bloom. I love the way this turned out. Can't be!I've I took so long to try this! Getting a second one - smaller for the steps.
