This one-of-a-kind cultured freshwater pearl 2-strand necklace is champagne colored. It features a 20th Century French-made bronzed steel shoe buckle with nail head and claw motif. The pearls measure 7 millimeters to 8.5 mm contains 100 hundred near round genuine pearls. It securely and handily closes with a sterling silver saber clasp. To keep the integrity of the antique shoe buckle in original condition, I used a Native American bead working stitch called the Edging stitch on tan cow leather to provide a sturdy structural base for the necklace. The 10/0 size Japanese Delica Miyuki seed glass beads are a matte bronze in color. The necklace is 17 inches long at the first strand with the second strand closely draping below it. The dimension of the shoe buckle focal point is 2 ¼ inches across by 1 ¼ inches long by 5mm thick. The necklace is a nice weight and presents you with a cool and smooth sensation on your neck line from the gemstone on your skin and the velvet lined focal point back.
