The 3rd Grade Spelling Workbook: 95+ Games and Puzzles to Improve Spelling Skills Review: Great for summer learning! - This workbook has been such a great tool for building my third grader’s confidence with spelling! It’s structured just right—challenging enough to grow their skills without being overwhelming or frustrating. Each lesson introduces new words with fun activities like word searches, fill-ins, and sentence practice that actually keep them engaged (which, let’s be real, is half the battle 😅). I love that it reinforces phonics, patterns, and vocabulary in a way that feels like a game rather than a drill. We use it a few times a week and I’ve already noticed improvement in their writing and test performance at school. Perfect for extra practice during the school year or over summer break—especially for kids who need a little boost or just love words! Review: Helpful for Building Confidence - This spelling book has been a great resource for my third grader. The words are age-appropriate and the activities are engaging without being overwhelming. I like that it mixes practice with fun exercises, which keeps my child interested. I’ve already seen improvement in weekly spelling tests and confidence with writing. A solid tool for extra practice at home!

Good supplemental workbook
My son is a little behind on his spelling curriculum, but we’ve managed to go through about half of the book so far. He has trouble staying engaged in it, but that’s likely because of the repetition of words to make sure it’s memorized.

awesome book for help with spelling.
I started my daughter on the 2nd grade spelling workbook and was so impressed I bought the 3rd and 4th grade spelling workbooks. I am a bit disappointed that there isn't a 5th grade one (or I haven't found it). They help her get familiar with words and word groups by providing fun activities for her to do. She loves the book and it has helped her spelling of words a lot. Highly recommend this book.

I've bought a few books to support my son's learning throughout grade three and this one was really helpful. It's design to start simple and get progressively more difficult. Each section has learning activities paired with games to support learning new, more complex words. It's not an overly challenging book but definitely a great supplementary resource for your child while they're learning to read and spell.

Pretty good book, but wish there was more repetition on the simple words. My third grader doesn't really need to know the word, 'grasshopper'. I would rather they repeat the world 'these' or 'next' or 'both' 'began'. Simple words that kids read everyday and need to get more familiar with. So not a great book as in a weird way it's too advanced.
