Great Mineral Sunblock!
This is a great mineral sunblock. For those who are not familiar with this type of sunscreen - because it is mineral based - zinc oxide and titanium dioxide - it will sit on top of the skin, rather than 'soak in' as the chemical based ones do. Yes it goes on white and takes some 'rubbing in' and then letting it set for a few moments to dry down.I personally love mineral sunscreens for the precise reasons I don't care for the chemical based ones - they do not have the distinctive sunscreen odor and they normally don't irritate the skin, especially around the eyes. The Australian Gold brand has been my go to for years. I normally like the tinted version, as it does not leave any white cast and does offer a smoothing effect to my face. However, the tinted version in "Light" has been harder and harder to come by, so I decided to try the "Medium Tint" which was waaay to dark for my light skin.So I wondered what would happen if I mixed the Medium Tint with this No Tint (white) and YAY! I've been mixing about half and half each and works beautifully.I will say that the this non-tinted version is a little more moist or emollient than the tinted version, making it a little longer to dry back, but it's not an issue for me. I use this over my entire face, neck and chest. Sometimes I will use a little loose powder on a fluffy brush if it still feels a little tacky after finishing my makeup.Since using these sunscreens, I have no need to use a cream or liquid foundation on my 57yo face. They leave a smooth matte finish and on the days I feel like a little more coverage, I'll brush on a little powder foundation in those areas.

The Best Sunscreen I’ve Tried—Effective and Reliable!
The Australian Gold Botanical SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. I constantly recommend it to my relatives and friends because it truly stands out in terms of performance and ingredients. This sunscreen is made with non-chemical sunblock, which makes it a great choice for those who are conscious about the ingredients they apply to their skin. The mineral-based formula is gentle yet highly effective, providing excellent protection against the sun’s harmful rays. I’ve used it extensively at the beach, and it has consistently kept my skin safe and sunburn-free.The lotion has a nice, lightweight texture that absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. It also has a pleasant, subtle scent that isn’t overpowering. The formula is perfect for daily use or for extended sun exposure, and it doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores.

Very Good, but Could Be Better!
In my never-ending quest to find a non-drying, moisturizing, easy to spread, environmentally responsible, healthy mineral sunscreen, this one is . . .acceptable to good. Good because I don't think the ideal product exists. This product has a rating of 4 (1 being best, 10 being worst) on the Environmental Working Group scale. Which is, as I said, acceptable. Most of the ingredients rank in the EWG green and yellow zones, but the fragrance is in the red zone with a low 8 score. I have to admit it smells good, but I care less about scent than I do about my (and my child's) lung health and immune system. If the company made a change to a different, healthier fragrance this would tip the scales to a 5 star review!I gave this 4 stars because in comparison, an EWG score of 4 is not terrible, and this meets most of my other requirements:- It doesn't dry out my skin or irritate it- It spreads easily and I can apply it to a wiggly kid without too much fuss- It absorbs well and doesn't leave a white film if you rub it in thoroughly. Note ALL mineral sunscreens initially go on slightly white. This is unavoidable.- It's active ingredients are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. It does NOT contain the primary chemicals known to cause harm to coral reefs: oxybenzone, octinoxate, octocrylene, 4-MBC, benzophenone-3, methoxycinnamate and butylparaben.- To date, it's done its job. While we do our best to stay out of the sun for too long and wear protective clothing, but when we've been out in the sun for longer periods of time, no one has gotten burned. And yes, we've used it in the water and have not applied more often than every hour to our fair skin.- The price is reasonable.Let's see how closely this company is monitoring their Amazon reviews. Perhaps my fragrance change suggestion will be taken under consideration!PS - I am a real person with real reviews that I am not paid or compensated for in any way. I rely on other shoppers to provide thoughtful and considerate reviews to guide my purchasing decisions, so I like to provide the same service to others. I get really frustrated when multiple 5 star reviews of products are clearly written by the same person (with the same grammatical errors). Please check out my other reviews and use the Comment or Ask a Question feature if you need more info. I'm happy to respond.

Favorite mineral sunscreeen
I bought a bunch of different types of mineral sunscreen for our trip near some coral reefs. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, and I was hoping for a nice fragrance. This is one of the only ones I found that had a fragrance added. The fragrance was mild and nice, and it disappeared after a while. The sunscreen was thick and creamy. I would say it was OK as a moisturizer, but I needed some extra moisturizer, even though I was using it a lot.I found it disappeared relatively easily BUT I'm also super-pale, so I might not be the best judge. I tried one of their lightest-tinted sunscreens, and it was way too dark for my skin. I looked much better with the slight bit of white cast.I highly recommend it to any pale-skinned person without fragrance sensitivity. I still recommend it to other folks, but maybe not so highly.
