El Patron Classic Hold Styling Gel 10.5 oz (I0108114)

I have thick and frizzy hair that’s hard to tame. Without the right product it’s a Jew Fro that grows straight up, gravity be damned. I’ve tried many products over the years and this is my go to. No reason to use anything else because nothing else works. A magic formula. I get a smooth frizz free shiny hold that lasts all day and even into the next. Wonderful hold without excessive crustiness. No flaking to speak of.I don’t want to say this cause I don’t want other dudes looking better than me, but for the greater good of humanity...The key is to have damp hair and use the right comb. Find a comb, not brush, that does NOT have too fine teeth. More like the type of spacing as if using your fingers.

Best hair stuff I’ve used. I have incredibly straight hair that doesn’t like to stay put. This stuff holds it in place all day long. It smells great, and a little bit goes a long way.

This product smells good and provides a good hold without a lot of shine. I would recommend using a very light amount on your fingertips as you apply it through your hair since it has a tendency to glob up easily. Once the product has hardened, if you try to "break up" the hold, you will get flakes. Loses a star for this.

I’ve been using this company’s brand of hair gel for years, and I love it! However they must of discontinued their red rubber version which is the type I’ve been buying. While the red version has a better scent and easier to work with due to it being a better hold with very little applied. This is an okay hair gel, but for someone who has thick hair this is not strong enough and I often have to use hair spray to make it stay harder (I don’t mean crunchy). For the price one is paying to amount used is not very good and I think I’ll have to start looking for another brand that gets the job done.
