Asics Women's Gel-Contend 7 Running Shoes

I run 2 or more miles a day. 2-4 times/week. My last running shoes began to hurt my ankles some months ago. i realized i was under-pronate and only wear on outer side of shoe. i needed a shoe that helps with this under pronation. i read this shoe helps with this. First the shoe is a beautiful shoe. I saw many reviews stating to order 1/2 size bigger which i did. BUT I really didn't need to as they would have fit my 8.5 size feet perfectly. The upper edges of the shoe are a little more rigid than my previous running shoes but I think this helps to stabilize and cause my ankle to run more of a neutral way. (as I was running on the outside of my foot due to previous shoes.) First run was 4.5 miles and it went well. I found that my ankles already have less pain. :) Super glad to get back to ASICS. I tried Saucony which were ok but also led me to becoming an under-pronator. :( I realize each persons running style, gait etc is unique and therefore my review is personal my own running experience. This shoe was good for a basic run. Not sure about very long distance running. It would also be a great shoe for work. And perhaps a gel insert if on feet all day. A great shoe. Arrived early. A great experience.

I'm a big fan of the Gel Contend until I received this (my 4th) pair. They're now narrower (I don't have wide feet) and tight. The back part of the shoe rubbed my ankle and caused a blister. This has never happened with my other Gel Contends. So Gel Contend # 7 is a a fail. Will need to go look for a different shoe. Maybe these will eventually fit ok after breaking them in but I don't have time or patience with an ill constructed shoe. Such a disappointment. Gel Contend has been my walking shoe (3 miles almost daily) for several years but they changed it not for the better.

I cannot believe that I finally found a pair of tennis shoes that actually fit my narrow feet!!!!!!!!I have very narrow shoes, and have all sorts of problems with the toe box being too wide, or the ankle part, or or or... In the end, I always have to tight the laces at tight as possibly to keep them in place. And I thought this was the normal thing to do... Until I slipped my feet inside of these magical tennis shoes!!They are simply PERFECT!!! They snug me feet like a soft but very stable hug and I love it.As an every day sneakers, LOVE THEM!!!As for workout shoes, I'll update once I do it. I recently had surgery and still under a no workout regimen.Simply put: There's just no words to explain how much I love them!!!

This is my second pair of Asics shoes. I don't use them for working out, but I do use them for my job. I'm on my feet all day at work, and I need comfortable, flexible, supportive shoes to make sure I'm taking good care of my feet. I had to retire my last pair of Asics, which made me a little sad because I really loved them. But my new ones are very supportive and it's amazing how much new shoes can make even a sore, tired pair of feet easier to walk on. I'm excited to literally have a new spring in my step.Also, for reference, I am a 5' 6", 230 lbs woman wearing size 10.

I love being comfortable. The sneakers are great for walking and for work. I'm a grocery store cashier and I'm on my feet 6 to 8 hours a day. I red the reviews and got me a half size larger. Regularly I wear 7 1/2 I ordered an 8. Fits me nice, my feet are happy with the support and comfort of my new and beautiful sneakers. Me encantaron, son lindos y cómodos. I recently had foot surgery so my left foot is still swollen. I wanted a wide pair of supportive sneakers. These sneakers are good looking and offer decent support but they are not a wide shoe. Neither at the arch nor the toe box.I’ll keep the shoes for later but disappointed they are not wide as described.

I’ve always been an Asics girl. I typically go with more of their higher end running shoes but decided to give this model a try. The color is fantastic they are super supportive and comfortable when going on very long walks. I no longer run long distances but I think they would be fine for that too. I always go up a half a size. I am really pleasantly surprised and I’m ordering a second pair soon.

I bought these shoes to stand at work in the health care field. They perform as desired. They are pretty non slip on wet surfaces as well as an added bonus. At first they fit a little more snuggly than i was anticipating. It think it helps them slide around less for running or working it out. It turns out they work perfectly for what i was wanting for work.

I ignored all the reviews and ordered a size 7 as I'm a standard UK size 7. After 3 attempts, I got a comfortable fit with an 8.5 (42.5). The reason for this is that the trainers are very well cushioned and padded so this takes up room in the shoe.These are the BEST trainers I've had and are highly rated as a top trainer on the Runners World guide. I have plantar fasciitis for years and in the 3 weeks that I've been wearing these, the pain has stopped (I'm not a doctor, this is just my experience). I walk 12km a day and my feet are supported, comfortable and there's no ache in them. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable! I love the Asics trainers, I did not need to "break" these trainers in, and my feet felt very comfortable when running. I am normally a size 5 in shoes, and ordered a size 5, they fit me, however, as others have said they do come up a little small, having said that they still fit me quite well.

Sadly I didn't read the reviews and yes I ordered my usual size 5.5 UK 39 euro and I literally couldn't get my foot in the shoe! They are more like a UK 3/4. What a waste of time no wonder they have them on offer. Unless you are a small footed person choose something else.

These trainers are much too small.I always wear trainers one size up and these size 7’s feel smaller than my usual size 6.I’ve worn ASICS for more than 10 years and these are not right!!!Would never have purchased this product if I knew how much hassle it would be to return it if it didn’t fit correctly!So much time wasting!Not impressed at all!

Really comfy and practical. They are hard wearing and suitable for many terrains. Don’t wear them in the rain as they are cloth upper and not waterproof
