Pour qui apprécie la Littérature, Shakespeare constitue LA référence. Cet ouvrage, exhaustif, propose donc l'intégralité de l’œuvre du Barde (pièces, sonnets, ...). La lecture en est confortable (malgré la disposition, peu courante de nos jours, en colonnes) et son aspect vintage s'avère plaisant (selon les goûts, toutefois). La couverture rigide permet une bonne tenue de l'ouvrage dans la bibliothèque. En bref, un excellent rapport qualité / prix et un must pour tout honnête homme !

I'm eager to read Shakespeare's legendary plays.

This is a beautifully-bound edition of an indispensable reference-work for any lover of English literature! I already have an Alexander edition, which includes a biography of Shakespeare by Germaine Greer, and introductions to the plays by Anthony Burgess, but it is well-thumbed and tired, and I bought this for the sheer beauty of the binding, and here the Wordsworth Library Collection have done a great job! It isn't annotated, so might not be ideal as a study edition, but I don't think it would claim to be that, and, anyway, there are countless study-guides available. What this elegant racing-green and gold-bound volume provides is sensual pleasure at a bargain price!! (There are paper-back versions that cost more!)
