Air Conditioner Drip Cushion, Stop Dropping Noise AC Rain Cover with Magnetic Backing

This worked great on my LG window a/c. After installing it in the window next to the head of my bed I quickly discovered that when it rained I would get woken up by the dinging sound the rain made. After putting this on I no longer hear anything. It's been 5 months and still working great and hasn't blown away due to the magnetic backing. Installing it was easy too.

I didn't believe it would dampen the sound so much, but I got so fed up after yet another night being awoken by a midnight rainstorm that I decided to give it a try. And I am SO glad I did. Installation was SUPER easy. It's just foam on a big magnet so you cut it to size - and it's easy to cut with regular scissors - and then just stick it on your unit (making sure the surface is clean first!!). And that is all it takes for quiet, peaceful sleep during the rain. I enjoy the soothing sound of a thunderstorm again. And it really does stay in place. It survived Texas torrential rains and even a thunderstorm with ping-pong ball-sized hail just last evening. If you're thinking about it - do it! I highly recommend.

The do exactly what they claim they do, they stop that annoying dripping noise from rain on your air conditioners! Best thing I have purchased in a long time. So easy to use. Wish I would have bought them sooner, I wouldn't have missed out on all that sleep!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Goid price. Works like it should by blocking the noise of rain hitting the air-conditioner.

I gave it 4 stars because rain hitting it in the same spot repeatedly will wear it down eventually. I’ve had mine a year and it’s starting to show in the spot where rain drops off of my roof in one spot. It’s not a major issue, but it won’t last forever. Aside from that I don’t understand the complaint I read in another review because mine, while not completely silent, muffles 90% of the rain noise on my AC. My AC is huge, so the cover doesn’t (cover) the entire thing, there’s a section exposed. So the difference from bear AC to covered section is night and day, loud tapping to a muffled barely audible tapping. It’s been rainy all day and pretty heavy rain today and I only noticed it at all because of rain hitting the exposed section. It’s way better than nothing. I used to have a pillow strapped on top of my AC with a Bungie cord, which also works extremely well, but has the downside of getting pretty gross. I’ve been hoping for a sale so I can buy another one and cover the exposed section of my gigantic AC unit, I have a 23500 BTU unit. It’s not completely silent, but it’s a great choice in my opinion, and the magnet holds it in place quite well. We’ve had some crazy wind this year and it hasn’t budged. It is a bit pricey considering what it is, but worth it for a single solution you don’t have to think about or invest time into.

These actually work

I purchase this because my dog would wake me up in the middle of the night if it was raining. The ping noise on the metal of the air conditioner set off his anxiety. When I opened it up I thought there was no way the wind wouldn’t get ahold of this and sail away but to my surprise it stays on without any additional support. The big win is my dog now sleeps soundly through the rain and so do I.
