Insta360 ONE RS Twin Edition Waterproof 4K60fps Action Cam & 5.7K 360° Camera with Interchangeable Lenses, Stabilization, 48MP Photos, Active HDR, AI Editing

I have been a longtime user of Insta360 cameras from the days of the original ONE X. I bought the ONE RS to complement my ONE R as I sometimes like to shoot with multiple cameras. The improvements they have made to the RS are a welcome addition to an already excellent camera - improved battery life, improved audio (3 mics now instead of 2), improved mounting case. You can look on the Insta360 website (or any of the comparison videos on YouTube) to see what the upgraded processor brings (basically faster wifi, improved flow-state stabilization, digital zoom) but I am having most fun with the new boosted 4K lens. This now provides 48MP images (compared to 12MP of the R), Active HDR mode and 6K Widescreen mode. I recently used the 6K Widescreen mode to film a classic car rally. This meant I could get a beautiful wide (2.35:1) video of the cars racing around a corner and then capture a static shot of the car in the perfect angle I wanted. Most importantly, I didn’t have to pan the camera for the video or try and time my still shot, instead I could just enjoy the action with my own eyes while the camera did all the work. Attached are an image and a video of one of the cars. Having both the ONE R and RS and at least one of each of the 4k, 360 and 1” Leica modules I now have the perfect modular system where I can swap lens modules, bases and batteries as per the requirements of the shoot. Heartily recommended!

I've found this a very good replacement for my old 360 camera and GoPro. Mostly because it doesn't compromise when you want to use it for one or other of the uses: it has interchangable lenses for 360-degree and normal wide angle shots. It has a good smartphone app too, which I find easier to use than ones from other manufacturers in the pat. Reframing 360 videos for example, in the app, to point at what I'm wanting to keep in front, is actually very easy, and the HDR image quality is amazing!

So many apps very good cam works the 4k isn't as good as the 360 cam. The 360 lens kills it 👌 water proof or rain proof shall I say small compact ...down side the battery lasts an hour like for a journey or 1hour long filming...if u need more juice get extra battery. Do get screen guards

There’s a lot to be liked about an Insta360 Rs. It’s, in just about every way, as good as its rival GoPro with the added advantage of it being modular and so parts/lenses are interchangeable. It is, of course, a lot cheaper BUT-and here’s the rub, speaking purely from experience, in my case it was only possible to download videos from camera to PC the one time. If I disconnect and came back to try again the message ‘sd card needs to be formatted’. This happened each and every time even with a replacement sd card. Looking this up online it seems to be a common problem. Contacted insta to try and find a solution. Many, many e mails later after try this try that they asked me to return camera module back to them IN CHINA. Guessing that would take, at the very least, a month I decided instead to return it to the seller for a refund. The camera is good - the fault is bad and seemingly common and insta, although communicative, came up with a very poor remedy which wasn’t really acceptable - buy the camera and wait several months before you can use it is not a viable proposition. Was so excited to get this camera for my motorcycle. Order the first one from Insta360’s website. Wouldn’t connect to phone, Wi-Fi signal wasn’t being transmitted from the camera, they said there was an issue with the core of the camera and send it back. Ordered another one from Amazon and had the EXACT same issue, won’t connect, won’t work. Pretty poor firmware quality and it’s just frustrating to be honest. Customer service in the insta360 website is useless.

Purchased for recording my motorcycle rides, absolutely brilliant, great camera, good quality footage, just need to get a decent sized SD Card, but all in all very happy with this product.

Compré esta cámara y estoy realmente emocionado de su compra, es todo lo que puedo querer en una cámara de acción, éste aparato está dando un paso mas donde nadie se había atrevido, el tener la posibilidad de que intercambies las lentes es algo que de verdad emociona por su versatilidad, la calidad de imagen es muy buena, el editor de video es el mejor que puedes encontrar (y lo puedes hacer todo en tu celular), estoy encantado con ésta cámara la volvería comprar sin duda. Compré la versión RS twin y en corto compraré la versión con lente Leica, su sensor es enorme para una cámara de este estilo.

Eigentlich erhält man für den Preis zwei Kameras. Durch das modulare System mit einer Linse für „normale“ Actioncamaufnahmen und einer 360°-Linse für ausgefallenere 360°-Aufnahmen kann man die One RS für unterschiedliche Einsatzzwecke verwenden. Auf den ersten Blick ist die Videoqualität der 4K Linse absolut überzeugend für so ein kleines Teil. Vor allem in Kombination mit der Stabilisierung erhält man scharfe und stabile Aufnahmen, selbst wenn man die Kamera nicht besonders ruhig hält. Die Kamera hält dabei was sie verspricht und liefert Aufnahmen im Stil klassischer Actionkameras. Noch besser als die 4K Linse ist die 360° Linse. Sie bietet in Kombination mit dem Selfiestick und der dazugehörigen Handyapp noch mehr Möglichkeiten. Ausrichtung, Blickwinkel, Bildausschnitt und vieles mehr lassen sich in der App sehr einfach nachträglich anpassen und das Ergebnis ist in kürzester Zeit exportiert. Dabei ist die App sehr intuitiv bedienbar und nahezu selbsterklärend. Eine Vielzahl von KI-basierten Bearbeitungsvorlagen erlauben es sehr einfach Ergebnisse mit Wow-Effekt zu erzielen. Erfahrungen im Videoschnitt oder zusätzliche Software sind dafür nicht notwendig - Alles was man braucht ist die Kamera und ein Smartphone mit der App. Das ist vor allem dann gut, wenn man mal schnell etwas in den sozialen Medien posten möchte, ohne lange Zeit in die Nachbearbeitung zu investieren. Die 360°-Linse eröffnet neue Perspektiven und Möglichkeiten die weit über das was man von normalen Kameras kennt hinaus geht. Damit zu filmen und die Aufnahmen dann nachträglich zu reframen macht außerdem unheimlich viel Spaß! Die Idee Linse, Akku und Kern in einzelne Module aufzuteilen ist innovativ und trotzdem nicht unnötig kompliziert. Der Zusammenbau ist selbsterklärend und funktioniert einwandfrei. Dabei wirken alle Teile hochwertig in der Verarbeitung und scheinen für einen dauerhaften Einsatz konzipiert zu sein. Die Halterung am Gehäuse ist kompatibel mit GoPro Zubehör wie Halterungen, Chestmounts etc. Wer hier also zum Beispiel von einer älteren GoPro switchen möchte kann die bestehenden Halterungen weiterhin verwenden. Trotz des modularen Systems ist die Kamera wasserdicht bis 5m. Ich freue mich darauf, das bei nächster Gelegenheit auszuprobieren. Als einzig negativen Punkt ist Tonaufnahme zu nennen. Das ist zwar nicht verwunderlich bei einer Actionkamera dieser Größe, aber der Sound der Kamera ist definitiv noch verbesserungswürdig. Vor allem bei Wind hört man so gut wie nichts wenn man in die Kamera spricht. Ansonsten gibt es hier eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung für alle die auf der Suche nach der perfekten Actionkamera sind.

Insta360 One RS review If you’re interested in capturing your sports, activities, or even just your daily life, the Insta360 One RS is an excellent option to look at. I’ve had a lot of fun with it and it takes amazing and high-quality videos, photos, and I bought the Insta360 One RS Twin edition, and I think this represents the best value for so many people as it utilizes the modular nature of the camera and lets you have a 4K action camera AND a 360 camera without paying the high price of buying two separate cameras. The modularity of this camera and the superb video quality and in-camera stabilization are the primary features The build quality is phenomenal, and the pieces of the camera fit together solidly and securely. The One RS Twin edition comes with 5 pieces: the battery base, the Core, the 4k Boost mod, the 5.7K 360 mod and the mounting bracket (frame). I have never felt like the pieces would accidentally come apart once they are put together. There is a small slide switch that must be moved to unlock the pieces of the camera. The frame has the standard finger mount so you can mount your Insta360 One RS to any existing action camera mount you may already have. The best part of the frame is that the camera is loaded from the side. This makes removing the camera and changing the lens a very quick process. It’s important to remember the camera must be put together and mounted in the frame for it to be water proof. I have taken the Insta360 swimming with both the 4K boost lens and the 5.7K 360 lens without issue. The frame also acts as a heat sink to prevent the camera from overheating. I haven’t experienced any issues with this camera overheating. The frame also has a microphone cover to get better sound quality when you’re doing all the fun things this camera is made for. I have made videos while running in windy conditions and the mic picked up my voice perfectly! The image quality with the 4K Boost lens is very crisp and the Vivid color profile is beautiful. Regarding color, you are able to shoot video in Vivid, Standard, or LOG (flat) color profiles. The One RS can shoot video in a 2:35 aspect ratio at 6K, so if you’re looking to give your videos that cinematic look, this is the option for you. The One RS with the 4K Boost lens can also shoot in 4K up to 60fps, 2.7k up to 100 fps, and 1080p at 120 fps. I really enjoy slowing my footage down. Filming with the 360 lens is a real treat! The 360 lens captures everything around the camera so you can choose which direction you want to see in the video in post-production and export it as such. Working with the 360 footage takes a little longer than filming with a normal lens (that only shows the direction you point it), but the results are amazing. All your friends will be wondering how you got those shots. The very best part of using the 360 lens is that the app is able to remove the selfie stick from the image so it appears as if the camera if floating around you. A tip for first time 360 camera users is to ensure the camera is positioned straight directly above the selfie stick. If the camera is not straight on the selfie stick, you may see a little of the selfie stick in your video). The camera takes excellent photos too, but I don’t use it for photos. The video is just too good for me to want to take still shots. Video stabilization is next-level. It really is amazing how I can do so much stuff (running, biking, etc) with the camera shaking and the final video comes out looking smooth. Battery life is good and I usually can take the camera out for a day of shooting without having to recharge. This is probably because I take a lot of short videos. The camera specs say the battery will last 75 minutes when filming in 4K, and I think that is probably accurate. I think the best thing I can say about the battery life is that I don’t have battery anxiety from it. This is a good thing! I expect good quality from Insta360, and the camera delivers. What I like most is how convenient it is to have the modular camera, so I can get so many more interesting videos without having to take two different cameras with different batteries. I don’t leave home without this camera.
