Easy to make, but wife says she didn't like them because they are way to sweet.

I walked past a booth in Detroit's Eastern Market and these energy bars were being passed out as samples. I was super skeptical at first, but tried one- and they were pretty tasty overall. They are incredibly simple to make. Just take 1/2 cup of your favorite sweetener syrup (maple, honey, agave, etc.), mix, press into a pan, cut 16 bars, and pop it in the refrigerator. The nutritional profile for 1 bar (1/16 of the mix and made with agave) is 179 cals, 179 cal, 22 g carb, 12 g sugar, 8 g protein, 8 g fiber,13% iron, 23% calcium, 2% vitamin e, 21% thiamine,10% riboflavin, 7% niacin, 7% B6, 12% folate, 18% phophorus, 28% magnesium,12% zinc, 21% copper, 77% manganese, 3% potassium, 1% sodium, 0 cholesterol, 6.7 fat- no trans. The bar is fairly small when portioned as directed by the package and would not suffice as a meal replacement, small for a snack bar. Taste is interesting and nutty. This is worth a try!

I saw this company set up at a local event and they had samples out. I tried the bars made with this mix and they were AMAZING. I bought a bag for home and everyone enjoyed them. Definitely delicious.
