I was looking for options for hair growth, but there were so many options that made my hair greasy and was oil based. I decided to make my own water base, leave-in, Concoction. I combined rosemary, fo-ti, green tea, pumpkin seed, red clover, fenugreek, saw palmetto, Alma,Bhringaraj Leaf, Bhringaraj Leaf, Neem Leaf, Shikakai Bark,Tulsi Leaf powders and stored it in this plastic container. When i'm ready to make a bottle to use, i take one scoop and add it to boiling water. And once it's cooled, I strain it with a cheesecloth into this bottle. Once i'm done showering generously, add this to my scalp before drying my hair. I have only used it for 1 week. So far so I am unsure how the results will be, but I am happy to find an alternative to an oily based product. The initial cost of purchasing all the powders is quite a bit, but with the size of this tub, it will last me for quite a bit of time.

This has a centuries old history of use in India and works really well as a HABA-aisle shampoo and conditioner alternative. There are many traditional ways to use this, I really liked mixing it into a loose paste with amla powder and water, then leaving this in for half an hour before rinsing it out. Lots of volume but manageable, very clean but not dried out. Once every two weeks is enough.

Read the instructions before opening the package. Warning: do not inhale or get it in your eyes. After one use, it removed the oils from my hair well and it wasn’t harsh or stripping. This is not to fully replace my wash routines. But I will definitely incorporate it a few times a month. Tip: watch other tutorials on how to use this in your hair. Also, if you can find the whole seeds it is a better option.

Noticed a dramatic DECREASE in hairfall after the first wash. I mixed with amla powder and finish with an apple cider vinegar rinse. Hair is soft, clean, dries faster, smells good (earthy) and my hair is not falling out everywhere. I'm super pleased. Looking to add more to my next batch of shampoo I make!

I put 3 spoons of shikakai into a glass of water for some hours,then I washed my head with it. It was still dirty. Maybe I did smth wrong.Anyhow,Im on my way looking for another natural shampoo.
