I highly recommend this shade tent! We took it to the Newport Folk Festival and it was perfect. It is easy to assemble. It is a little tricky to get back into the bag but you get the hang of it quickly. The directions are attached to the bag if you have any issue. It is nice to be able to unzip the back, if needed, for airflow.

Things I love: lightweight, easy to set up, great sun protection.Things that aren’t perfect: folding it up is a bit of a challenge. We’ve used it a handful of times and still struggle a little bit with folding it up. Not the easiest, but this con is outweighed by the pros of this tent.It’s big enough for two adults to sit side by side comfortably. There is room in the back for bags and accessories and one other person, a child perhaps, to potentially sit. Saying it will fit 3-4 people is a stretch, but it works well for our small family.I have loved using this tent at the beach and can see myself taking this to other outdoor events to escape the sun.Would definitely recommend.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked the 3-4 person for wolfwise tent for my kids. Mostly for the beaches in CA. The tent opens like a dome on both ends. One side zips up completely to the bottom to close completely and has a zipper to split like doors. It has side windows that also zip up for privacy on the side. It also has two pockets sewn flat to the tent on each side. The sand bags are a good size to fit a small brick which I prefer to use for anchoring rather than more sand. It has loops at the large opening so it can be tied down it comes with skinny rods to push into sand. How it could be better, I wish it closed all around like it does on the other end but one permanent opening doesn’t bother me too much. Also would prefer thicker stronger rods to anchor and hammer down. Never been a fan of the plastic ones or metal skinny rods. I was able to fit my 3 younger kids in for naps while at the beach and the baby can comfortably sleep in there with my picnic blanket on the bottom.Quality:Nice polyester type and well stitched around zippersFunctionality:Easy pop out tent. Careful with winds you’ll want to make sure it’s anchored down before settling inEase of take down:Watching the video displayed on here and doing a trial run before going anywhere helped with ease of take down for storage.Ease of assembly:For assembly just take it out of the bag and hold tight before placing in your spot. So far, so good. We wanted something easy to carry, easy to set up/fold up and sturdy in the winds. We've used this twice at the beach and couldn't be happier. The carrying bag has instructions for folding the beach shade up and its easy enough to fold up and place back in the carrying case.

Great product in terms of stability and coverage. Mere seconds and it's set up with the final step of a few stakes or filing of some built-in sandbags if it's windy. Usually we just throw all our stuff inside until someone is ready to seek shelter. It stays put just fine. We use this tent everywhere... beach, park, backyard. Only issue comes when putting it away. We haven't mastered it just yet but after a few attempts, one of us eventually gets it. Overall, I did a lot of research and am very happy with this purchase. This tent has certainly extended our stay at the beach which was my predominate motive with a spouse who is burn-prone :)UPDATE: I changed the review to 1 star. I loved this tent.... until today. Not sure what happened but after 3 uses without issue, today we could not get it folded back together to transport home no matter what we did. Literally, nothing would work and all 3 ppl involved are quite intelligent. Something happened to one of the wires on the inside where it twisted the wrong way making it impossible to close. It took 30 minutes just to shove in the trunk, still open, to get home. I just tried again when we got home to fold it up to no avail. In the throws of it, the bottom ripped. See pictures. Almost $90 down the tube. I'm throwing it out and next year I guess I'll buy an umbrella. Hoping the company will see this review and reaches out to make this right... couldn't find contact info. So disappointed.

I bought the black out version for camping rather than the beach, and it has worked great for 4 trips. It is incredibly easy to set up and take down solo.The black out shade is enough to drop the temp by 5 degrees when I checked, and the windows are spaced well for cracking to allow a breeze/airflow.I was a little worried about the bottom since this was advertised for sand and I would be using it on dirt/rocks, but even after multiple uses the bottom is solid with no rips or tears. I even dragged it around quite a bit each time while adjusting placement and shifting to follow the sun.I bought the 3-4 person, and it would fit that if you squish. Perfect size for 1-2 people if you would like a little space and to spread out.It does fit a single full size chair and person, though I am admittedly a bit short. If you want to fit more than one chair in this, you'd need to do the low chairs.The only downside is the stakes it came with, they were cheap plastic that didn't help when the wind picked up, but which is understandable for the price. I switched them out for some sturdier metal stakes without issue.

So, the idea is awesome and when it was up, it was great shade and easy to assemble. It literally took 1 minute to assemble, maybe less. The bad news: we ended up leaving it near the trash cans after first use. It was nearly impossible to put back into its case.
