I'm always excited to use a new shave cream to see how it glides, smells, and performs with my razors. I do have to say, this Jack Black shaving cream definitely is up there in terms of performance. HOWEVER, you need a shave brush to maximize its potential. Long story short, I've always tried to use this shave cream just with my hands and applying it directly to my face. It's great, but it can be a bit drying and it would occasionally give me slight burns and tugging on my razor. I eventually gave in and used a small bowl and synthetic brush to lather it up and apply it on my face. Without surprise, the cream works wonderfully and the glide and protection I received is unmatched like any other creams I've tried. Yes, it is advertised as a possible brushless cream, but do yourself a favor and work that wonderful lather this cream can provide with a brush! I also want to mention that I have fairly sensitive skin as well and this works wonderfully as soon as I implemented the brush.

Gives my thick, coarse beard a smooth, close, comfortable shave with no irritation. Superior to Cremo or Proraso (which frankly has gone way downhill). Leaves my face feeling soft and moisturized. No need for pre or post shave treatment. No scent to like or dislike. Easy to use with a brush: dip the brush into the tub, lather it on your face. Requires very little cream; I expect to get several months of daily shaving from one tub.

A great shaving soap for beginners to DE shaving. It's like Proraso in a tube, but much more slick. You can use about the same amount as the Proraso tube. I always use a shaving cup, so I put a dollop in the cup with about a teaspoon of water, and the lather just explodes from this stuff. Beginners often don't fully "load" their brush, especially down into the knot. The lather is thin on the skin as a result. Don't rush, and the Jack Black solves that problem.A nice Macadamia nut scent, loves water, and vegan. A must have for your kit.

Have used The Art of Shaving cream for 10 years. It's great but expensive. Thought I would try this based on reviews and it's half the cost. Works well, but doesn't foam up nearly as well as the AOSC which means you have to use twice as much, which kind of negates the bargain part of it. Will probably go back after this is used up.

I've gone through a lot of slave creams over the year. I have sensitive skin, so a lot of products cause irritation or breakouts. Not so with this stuff. One bottle of this product lasts me quite a lot longer than other shave creams, but this 3 pack will have you taken care of for months! Just lather up on a wet face and you're good to go. I definitely recommend Jack Black Supreme Cream!

I have used Jack Black Supreme Cream for about 5 years now and won't ever go back to those yucky gel or foam cans. You don't need a lot just enough to cover your face in a thin layer so a bottle lasts a long time.This greatly reduces the nicks and rash I got from normal shaving.
