Excellent for fascia!
I am a medical massage therapist since 1992 and have seen all kinds of crappy self massage "tools". This tool delivers! This is the best "ball" tool I've ever seen. Much harder and heavier than a softball, great surface is pretty smooth so it can get into the fascia. I love the weight of this thing. I use it for specific work after I had hip surgery and wasn't walking correctly for a year. This really gets into the inguinal ligament area attachments, quad attachments and hip rotators for me. I love using on my glutes that get bunchy from compromised movement. I got this for adductor work, which is so hard to self treat- it works great! Excellent adjunct to my regular Rolfing. I also got the RAD Rod which is also fantastic. FYI- the Atom slides on only ONE end of the Rod- the ends are slightly different sizes so the Atom doesn't slide off. Best self treatment tools I've ever seen or used! I also use lacrosse balls and the Triggerpoint brand roller for muscular and fasical work, but RAD Rod and Atom are my go to tools for cleaning up my post injury/surgery fascia.

a MUST for every runner
The size of the atom makes it a wonderful tool for total body work. I am drawn to RAD products as they are *so* much more travel friendly than the age old foam roller. Pair the 'atom' with the 'rod' and you can work into the calves, hamstrings, upper back ... really anywhere. Without the rod, I use the atom primarily for releasing the hips and glutes and it works like a charm. I also find it great for releasing tension around/between the shoulders if you place against a wall. The quality of the rubber is much higher than other products I have previously used and will certainly be using this for a long time. Would recommend pairing with the RAD rod. If I were in a situation where I could only take one recovery tool to a race I think this would be the one!

I could be a Rad Spokesperson
I took a Rad Roller myofascial release class at a local yoga studio and got a set of Rad Rollers. I immediately gave them to my son with the instruction sheets, he's a carpenter and always sore, stiff and in pain. I took the class due to low back and hip pain, mid back and shoulder/neck pain. I have since purchased the full Mobility Pack and app classes. I sing the praises of this system to every single person I can. Any time someone says they have aches and pains, I give them your website. Best health product I've purchased in a long time. I'm 58 and mobility into my 90's in the goal. With Rad Roller I'll get there!

Great product and just what I needed
I've had hip pain for years due to tight muscles, and stretching alone has not been enough to solve it. I started using the RAD atom two weeks ago and my hip already feels better than it has in years. From the first time I tried the RAD atom, I could tell it was just what I needed to provide some deep muscle therapy. This is a great product and I'm super happy with the purchase. I recommend it.

Nice ball for glutes
This is a great addition to the RAD kit. I enjoy all my RAD balls and roller. This one is especially great for glutes and hamstrings. I haven't traveled with it yet but gave it a 5 star today because the size is perfect and I wouldn't anticipate any issues packing this and taking it with me.

Yes!!!!!
What I very badly needed for my hips and lower back but could get out of a foam ball. I had "popped" two foam balls from the competition massaging my hips and lower back. I'm not over weight and I only use this 2-3x per week. This thing is firm and will never break. I just purchased the rod to use this for calf massages. Good design of a complete system.

Painful
The size is just right but the surface is not smooth, having several ridges and cut-outs which make it painful for me as I roll it against the areas on my back that require massage. Because I find it uncomfortable I have stopped using it, instead relying on a semi hard lacrosse ball.

Worth every penny 😊 Use RAD massage tools everyday on myself and PT clients. RAD products provide vastly superior quality and effectiveness compared to other massage products.

Better than a lacrosse ball for large areas. I mainly used it for my right QL and right lat. It was painful self treatment but the results were amazing. Go slow with the treatments and the results will come!

The app that goes with these rollers/balls used to be 100% free. Shortly after purchasing my rollers/balls, they release a new version of their app, asking for £175 for lifetime access! I wrote to ask why is there now such a huge fee for using it, got no reply. The app is now £349 for lifetime access! The app developers did give me access for 1 week due to a problem with it. The videos are horrible. They bang on and on about complex yoga stuff and "myofascia release" way too much at a pace you truly cant keep up with, and do very little of anything else. The videos could easily be 75% shorter and more engaging, but their instructors just dont know how to talk to regular people, or instruct. Dont expect them to reply to emails either, because they dont. I've emailed them twice to ask why the extortionate cost and why did it double in price, neither got a response, obviously. I left a review on the Apple app store too, which mysteriously vanished...
