Sherlock Holmes Escape Book: Adventure of the Analytical Engine: Solve the Puzzles to Escape the Pages (The Sherlock Holmes Escape Book)

Good
A good puzzle book. Not as good as the first book in this series (London Waterworks) but this one is by a different author. We didnt like the fact that there is a little bit too much help in the story text. For example, there is too much describing of what is in the pictures rather than letting the reader look and deduce what might be useful clues themselves. You also need a magnifier (just like Holmes) to see some things in the pictures because they are very small or faint.Saying that, this series of books is better than several other Holmes escape books we have tried. We liked the hints and solutions sections in the back if you get really stuck. Each section has the previous section's code marked on it so you cannot get lost by accidentally turning to the wrong page. You dont need internet access and there is a section for your notes. The book is printed on good quality paper with the cardboard code wheel at the front. Some reviewers have complained that the code wheel broke off during use but we did not have any problems with either book but obviously treated the wheel with care. Will we buy another one in this series? Probably.
