Love these book shelfs. We now have 3 of them and very well made.

Prior to purchase I read many reviews. Some said it was difficult to assemble, and I found the directions to be very detailed down to pictures and descriptions. It took about 1.5-2 hours to build, but it’s a quality piece of furniture. I needed my husband’s help to turn it over to put the back piece on, to stand it up and move into place, but for the price, the quality is spot on. Considering a second one to house more of my collection in.

My husband put this together in about an hour, and it's lovely. Sturdy and attractive andIlive the height. We have it in our son's room and it doesn't look out of place with the Ethan Allen bunk beds and dresser. I'm very pleased!

Plan about a half of a day to put it together, directions are straight forward. It's well made and will work perfect for my space. The box was broken when it arrived but all the parts were there and it was not damaged from shipping.

This product I thought contained wood as it was mentioned that it was MDF, recycled material (???) and plank. I could not find any wood and was definitely disappointed about that part. So if you are thinking there is in this product, be warned, there is not!! The other issue was the directions for assembly were terrible. They failed to indicate which side, top or bottom, finished edge, etc. which made for some taking apart and rebuilding during the process. If they were clearer, the assembly time would probably have only been about and hour which is not bad and I did do it all on my own (female with LOTS of building experience!). I looked at several and settled on this product due to price and wood content. For the money, it is NOT worth it! There were definitely better bookcases for perhaps more, but the quality was better. This is not sturdy and as I am using it for actual books, I am having to brace the back to add the necessary support and sturdiness it needs. Like most, I would return it, but it is put together and out of the box (which as a bonus, burns nicely in my wood stove, so there is that!), and that is more hassle. I expect to replace them entirely next year with real wood bookcases I find elsewhere!! I say pass and get wood bookcases, sturdier construction, and more quality for your money!! Hope that helps!!
