Works well
This works well. It has been through many down pours and has protected the electrical connections for our pool.

A must have for Christmas displays
So I am now up to 4 of these boxes. I "know" that technically its ok to leave Christmas decorations plugged into extension cords and just laying on the ground, but that little voice in my head still screams "Electricity and water don't mix!", esp during the winter when heavy rain and snow make it more moist than normal. These boxes are amazing, on one end, you have notch (I call it line in), and that feeds the surge protector I put in, then there are 4 other notches where you can bring other things you want to power up. The lid clamps on, everything stays bone dry. There is plenty of room inside for cables, surges, and even splitters. I even have Phillips Hue plugs on the inside so I can selectively power down the inflatables on windy days, while leaving the rest of the lights up. I know they are pricey for a weatherbox, but they are amazing, and I'll keep buying them (I have 4 larges, and several of the smalls)

Excellent for light duty cords.
It seems to be a good quality weather proof box with good seals and a design that will shed rain. Although the product description explicitly states it "supports 10-18 AWG wire" and that may be true if you're talking a single wire, but it will not support a 10 AWG 3 wire outdoor extension cord. There isn't enough room in the box inlets. Also, when you put the lid on the box it forces your cords to a nearly 90-degree bend downwards to clear the lid. Big cords won't do that. I'd say realistically a 14-gauge cord is about the biggest it will comfortably handle without straining the lid clamps. But for patio lights, light duty extension cords, or Christmas lights, this box is 5 stars.

Adapted for a special use...
While I purchased this box to protect electrical cords, I am not using it the traditional way, that is, sitting on the ground in my yard. Here was my dilemma. I have an old electrical box on the side of the house near my well water pump and water softener. It has those flip covers that protect it from the weather when nothing is plugged in. The plugs we use are heavy duty and meant for outdoors. I just purchased a new water softener. It came with a very large AC type plug. I needed to be able to protect this plug from the weather. I have a single box or one-gang receptacle. It had been installed horizontally, not vertically. When I plugged the AC plug into the bottom half of the receptacle, it sticks out quite a bit, on the right side of the plug. You can find what is called "While in use, weatherproof covers" specifically made to cover and protect an outdoor receptacle that covers not only the receptacle, but a plugged in cord. I thought a 2-gang cover would work, but it was still not big enough, and no one seems to make '3-gang' covers. Needing to think creatively, I googled for 3 days before I stumbled on this "SOCKiT BOX". After checking my measurements, I bought the Large box. When it arrived, I measured and cut out the bottom of the box. Using 100% silicone caulking, I caulked around the edge left after I cut out the bottom of the box. I made sure I had plenty of caulk on the edge before I fit it over the receptacle and stuck it to the wall. After it dried I fit the 2 cords down over the gaskets and attached the lid. About 3 hours later we had a thunder storm. Next morning I went out and after removing the lid, discovered everything to be dry inside the box. I did buy an extra box, as these say they are meant for temporary use when you have a bunch of items in your yard that need to be plugged in to an electrical strip, and kept dry. As we live in S. Florida, I want to make sure I had a back up in case the heat and tropical wet degrade this box in the future. For now, it looks great and best of all, it's dry!

Waterproof
Ordered product to keep the two extension cord ends out of the weather. Box is easy to use and once you get it closed and the sides latched down, it is water proof. I have it in a spot that sprinklers run twice a day, when I opened up today to check inside the box, it was completely dry inside. Great product, great price

A few flaws
It does seem very sturdy and weatherproof, which is the main thing, but it's just slightly too small for a normal power strip, which is a little annoying. The little pieces that hold the cabling in the slots are very inflexible so it's tough to get the cords to stay in them.
