Secured and Clean
They feel great on your skin because of the material and the separation gives you breathing room other pairs don’t. They fit perfectly and feel clean also.

Great lift for the gym
So I wasn’t sure about these until I tried them. They are super comfortable and keep everything in place. I mainly got them for the gym to try for running and keeping things from bouncing when I am active, and to prevent sweaty stickage. After a couple of weeks I feel that they do the job quite nicely.First the fit. I wear a 34 waist and usually alternate between medium and large in my brands. Medium fits quite well and doesn’t dig in my waist, and I like a bit of a snug fit for the gym. As far as some of these guys saying the hole is too small, I think they are just bragging. If you are average sized then I doubt you will have a problem. The boys are also cupped quite nicely and don’t pop out to one side or the other. As far as staying in place they do pretty well, but I’ve had a slippage a time or two at the gym. It’s usually when I am doing floor crunches or pulling my knees up a lot. My little man had a tendency to slip back through the hole once or twice, but it’s not frequent. My advice is to just bring your balls through as well and everything is held up front and kept in place more snug and no more slippage. Finally, if you aren’t bashful in a pair of nylon gym shorts then you’ll love these underwear. They will push everything out prominently, especially if you pull your balls through as well like I mentioned earlier. People might look at you and wonder if you have a half chub though, especially on the bench press. Going to the bathroom is no issue either, just flip the bottom up and pull it out. I went and ordered the 7 pack of cotton shorts as well so I can wear these every day. My only suggestion would be for them to make a smaller or less noticeable logo on the band. Similar to the 2Xist bar and, I just don’t always want people to know I am wearing “enhancers”.

More comfortable than I expected
The fit is great. I purchased based on the size chart and am happy with the results. The material is very thin and soft, but not so thin as to be see-through. The separate pouch is more comfortable than I expected. There are three fly openings: left, right, and bottom (that surprised me).

Love the brand, but not my favorite style
First, for those of you who are deciding whether or not to purchase your first pairs of Separatec: strip down to your birthday suit, and look at your side profile in a full-length mirror. Don't do that at work or your in-laws' house, however. Look at your frank and beans - are they flat against your body? No, of course not. They protrude out, because that's how your body is made. So, why would you ever settle for any underwear that flattens frank and the beans up against your body? If that's what you've been settling for in the name of trying to save a few bucks, stop it today. Your significant other likely spends 5x more money on her undergarments than you do, so why should you feel guilty about spending a little more to make yourself more comfortable?I made the switch to single-pouch underwear just over a year ago, and it was a complete revelation. Suddenly, having to wear underwear was no longer a burden, an inconvenience, or a discomfort. It felt comfortable, and it felt natural. It truly struck a "new balance" in my life, if you'd like a hint as to my preferred single-pouch brand. Then along comes some random banner ad on a website, advertising Separatec brand products with revolutionary dual pouch technology. My brain said: "If one pouch is good, two is better, right?" My wallet said, "Pffft, a second pouch isn't worth that!" My wife said, "Sure, give it a try." As so often happens, my wife won out over my brain and my wallet, and I joined the Separatec fan club. The single pouch was great. The dual pouch is just as great, but there is a definite learning curve in terms of comfort and utility. As other reviewers have noted, it can feel like you're wearing nothing at all, which is a good thing. This next part cannot be overstated, particularly for someone who's been in a long term relationship for a long time like I have: frank and the beans have never looked better. They are very pronounced and well defined in their pouches, and it looks like the natural side-profile you see when you look at a side view in a mirror. My wife is a very big fan of the appearance, and it's paid substantial dividends in the bedroom. It's like the inverse effect of a woman wearing lingerie or a certain "victorious secret" brand of undergarments - the fire burns a little more brightly, and things get warmer as a result. Also worth pointing out - I have an ugly derrier, because, well, I'm a guy. But my wife thinks it looks great in this style as well, which I'd attribute to the spandex, and my recent aptitude to work out more frequenly. For those cheapskates like me... that's why you should pay extra for this brand - your wife / girlfriend / significant other will notice and be pleased with what they see.Back to the utility considerations: the post-urination return to home base is a whole new challenge. If you're wearing any pants or shorts with a zipper... good luck. While the end-of-the-tunnel fly is super handy when you're lounging around the house in shorts or just underwear, it's practically unusable (for me) when I have to thread it through a zippered area. So I resort to the standard "pull frank over the waistband" approach, which works fine until he has to go back into his pouch. And that doesn't happen without some effort. Perhaps I just need more practice, I'm not sure - but I can't find a natural way to do that process without cramming my other hand into my pants a la Al Bundy. That makes it difficult to pull off in a busy public bathroom. But 95% of the time in my life, I have a private bathroom (home and work), so it's usually not a concern for me.On the flip side, other reviewers have expressed concerns that the styling of Separatec's dual pouch techology makes their frank and beans noticable in whatever they wear on a daily basis. Well, unless you're wearing biker shorts all day every day, or your frank and beans are a bratwurst and brazilian nuts, I don't have a clue where that complaint comes from. I've worn these with dress pants, jeans, cargo shorts, basketball shorts, and running shorts, and I haven't noticed a thing. I've asked my wife to check as well, and she said if she really stares hard while I'm wearing running shorts, she can tell, barely. But all of the other pant/short types, she could not tell at all.Quick tip for the first-timers to Separatec: if you're on the border between sizes, go with the smaller. I am a 34 waist, and medium (32-34) fits fine, but large (36-38) was too big. Those are the standard sizes for men's underwear. I have always preferred large in other brands, mainly for the additional room for frank and the beans, but with the dual pouches, I have found that extra room isn't necessary. All that being said... This is the third style of Separatec boxer briefs I have tried, and it is not my favorite style (see last paragraph for more detail on the other styles I have tried). My biggest problem with this style - frank fancies himself an escape artist far too often, significantly more than the other two styles. For a basis of comparison, I'd approximate that I'm in the 70th percentile on length, middle of the pack on girth. The distance between the top of the waistband and the top of frank's entry portal (i.e., his individual pouch) is exactly 3", which is 3/8 - 1/2" less than the other two styles. Originally I thought that was going to be a good thing, because I felt like I had to hike the other two styles up more than I would prefer in order to discourage frank from escaping. However, the diameter of the frank pouch is only 2", which is 1/4 - 1/2" smaller than the other two styles. I also felt like the beans pouch was noticably more constrictive than the other two styles. I never noticed a problem with the beans pouch on the other two, but this one definitely afforded less room for the beans. Again, for perspective, best guess is I'm 70th percentile on beans size.I tried this style out in a variety of settings. The worst setting of all was a nearby theme park. Frank made an escape on nearly every ride, and it's not exactly convenient to coax him back into his pouch that frequently in a public setting. In retrospect, that's probably not the ideal setting to wear any dual pouch underwear in. But I cannot fathom trying to wear this style - or the other two styles, honestly - to work out. I will stick with the single pouch underwear for my workouts. The other days I tried this style, it seemed to do okay, but not as well as the other two styles. On a low contact day (think: standard day at the office), this style would probably work fine and only require a few "re-tucks," but the other two would only need one or two, tops. As much as I don't like having the waistband higher on the other two styles, I would prefer that to the regular "re-tucks" that I found this style required. My suggestions for Separatec, in case they see this? 1) In the product listings, include a photo that shows the dimensions from waistband to top of pouch, and for the pouch diameter as well. 2) Release a lower-waistband style with a pouch entry hole bigger than the 2" this style has. 3) I'm all about more lively color options. The red/gray/black combo I bought of this style looks good, especially the red stitching on the gray and black pairs. But give us some neon colors, something that will really catch the eye of our significant others! The first style I tried was High Tech Single-sided Moisture Transported Fast Dry - 45% cotton, 45% modal, 10% spandex. It's a good blend, but not my preferred - too much cotton means it wasn't fast enough to dry for me. The second one was Sport Quick Dry Performance - 77% polyamide, 23% spandex, same blend as this one, but different dimensions as detailed above. This one is my favorite thus far, and it just seemed to fit better. It wicked moisture more quickly. And frank was not nearly as deft of an escape artist as he was with the style under review here. Also, the second style (Sport Quick Dry) had side fly's, not just the end-of-the-tunnel fly. That made for a much easier post-urination return to home base.

Excellent!
These are an acquired taste but sure are comfortable! I bought my original 3 pack and had just bought a more expensive pack of Saxx just before these. Though I like the Saxx over my Ex-Officios, I love these Separatec's! I like their fit, their features, their comfort, and their quality. I'm a husky guy who struggles with chaffing and boxers bunching up while walking around all day. So I really put these to the test while on a recent trip to Walt Disney World just before Christmas.... miles and miles daily. These underwear performed flawlessly every day that I wore them. The Saxx bunched up and had to be constantly adjusted while wearing them all day. The Separatec's stayed in place and kept me from chaffing.I'm going to address the complaint of the top rolling over. Yep, they rolled over but I've got a belly so ALL my underwear roll over.... including my Saxx, Under Armours, and Ex-Officios. So if you have a belly, I don't know what underwear you wear that don't roll over. I got over it and moved on.I highly recommend these Separatec's!
