Genie = Great, Bunny = nothing
I tried the Genie color first. Which is a deep purple. My hair is nearly all silver, and I left it in my hair for three hours. It was darker and more nylon looking than I wanted, it looked like a wig, but it was a fantastic, intense color. Over the next couple shampoos, it faded to a lovely, soft purple and now as you can see in the photo it’s a lovely lavender. Then I tried Bunny, which is depicted as a kind of intense baby pink. Sadly, it did not cover any of my silver, it’s as though I didn’t use any hair color at all, and I left it in for 3 1/2 hours! So if you want an intense purple go with Genie. But don’t waste your money on the Bunny color.I’m now going to try the Chocolate Cherry which looks like an intense dark pink. And see if that’ll give me a nice base at my roots and maybe deepen the lavender.Stay tuned I’ll update my review…

More perfume than dye: 2 days of pink, 7 days of stink
I have used similar semi-permanent dyes like Manic Panic and Punky Colour many times in the past, am familiar with the process of using these types of dyes, and have been pleased with the results from those brands. I opted for Lime Crime's Unicorn Hair in Sext because I was looking for a dusty rose shade to create a "rose gold" effect on bleached highlights. The first thing I noticed upon opening the container was an extremely strong, pungent, perfumey fragrance emanating from the jar. This surprised me, as I am used to the very mild, neutral scents of other vegetable dyes like Manic Panic. I see that Lime Crime claims their product has a vanilla scent and although the fragrance may contain a synthetic vanilla note, the overall effect is a very intense, drugstore "perfume" scent. I cannot overstate how strong and persistent the scent was: it took a full week for the scent to fade, and the first three days I felt suffocated by a thick miasma of cheap perfume - almost like I had dunked my head in a vat of a knock-off of Poison by Dior. Over the next several days, it transitioned to a scented doll head fragrance and then eventually to an insect repellent type scent. The color, on the other hand, was gone after two washes.I had applied the color to clean, dry hair that was free of all product (including conditioner), covered with a plastic cap, and let it sit for an hour. Upon rinsing out the dye, I was left with the faintest pink tint in the highlighted sections of my hair. The tint was only visible in very bright light and not otherwise noticeable.I would only recommend this product to someone who was looking for an extremely subtle color for a one-day, well-lit, outdoor event - like an outdoor, daytime wedding - and who can tolerate strong scents. I would not recommend this product for anyone planning to spend time indoors in the company of other people in the first three days after use; I think it would trigger migraines for those with fragrance/chemical sensitivities.

Pretty
Not super opaque on its own, but it's great to mix in two other colors that you want lighter and brighter

This one color “sext” is off-do a strand test
I will start by saying I have tried 4 other lime crime colors in the past few months and they are generally fantastic , and they have always shown up very close to the colors on the box. I was very excited for this color, I didn’t think I needed a strand test as my hair was a level 9/10 and in ok condition . I did a split dye with “mochi” on the other part of my head. “Sext” is a smokier pink on the box, but it turned mostly light patchy brown with a hint of red on my hair. It was on for 3 hours, just like the mochi side at the same time. The mochi side looks awesome. I am very unhappy with the “sext” color, it looks terrible in real life ( not sure the pic captures it) . I now have a brownish and purple split dye instead of the pink and purple and it is gross looking. Still trying to figure out the best way to fix it, either a gentle color remover or maybe putting a brighter pink over it. Learn from my mistake, do a strand test or at least a swatch to see how the “smokier” colors come out for you. I am very disappointed and will be looking into other brands of dye for my next look.***update** did some vitamin c treatments (my usually pretty effective way to remove semi/demi permanent colors) and they took all the remaining pink out and now I am left with a horrid green mud color. Not the kind of color you can leave the house with, I’m going to have to try to fix it again ASAP. I guess it has strong green or blue mixed in there as an undertone. I didn’t have problems with removing other colors from this line. I would strongly suggest not using the color “sext” , or if you risk it please do a strand test for the love of all that is holy! Off to find a new color that may cover the current “swamp” situation.

Amazing pay off with no damage
I bought this color hair tint because I know how kind it is on my hair. I needed 2 bottles but only purchased 1 so I had to mix some of another color i had that was the regular dye and this color is what I ended up with. This lasts a long time as long as you don't wash daily and use color safe shampoo. Great price for the product as well. I recommend for sure.

not bad
Very blue, used it to touch up my already blue hair and i don’t know if it was the combination of the colors or what but it wasn’t that pastel it was more like a straight shade of blue, just left it on a little less than usual. turned out cute it fades teal
